For anyone who wasn't a fan of the live-action Transformers movie, here's a video review by one of my favorite Internet critics, Confused Matthew! The first part is up. He usually does his reviews in three parts. I'll update the thread when the second and third parts are up. Confused Matthew EDIT: BTW, no flaming, please.
I like that guys style. He only missed once about why Bumblebee chose Sam, but he was intellectually honest and I respect that. He gave it due credibility as far as being 'enjoyable', while being a bad movie. It's something reviewers don't do often.
And fans here hardly understand. The comment about racial stereotypes on part 2 actually fits like a glove regarding the twins discussion. Good review.
Part 2 is up.... LOVING this, especially the last part of part 2. I'm in pretty much the same boat, I REALLY enjoyed TF1, saw it literally a dozen times in the theater, but I agree, it's an awful movie. I wish more people would acknowledge that distinction D/L
I saw part one and I have to say he's off. Not one his feelings for the movie. I totally agree with that, Crap movie but most enjoyable. Just some things like: Where did BB come from?...It is shown as he comes on to the lot. Why did BB seek sam?. Once again explained. Selling stuff to people who hate him? Dude is desperate and he had to come up with half the money. Half is limitless, the more you put in the more you get out. He nit picks about a lot more and goes waaaaaay too deep on minor plot devices but all in all I enjoyed his review and agreed with his over all thoughts. I just think he stretches his arguements too far to make his point. Thanx Transbot90210
It's later on explained why Sam sells his stuff, "OK got the car, the girl, just need money to take out girl." While checking his ebay account. Some of the plot holes he points out are explained in the movie itself, just not at the same time as they show up. Frenzy found out about Megatron and Sam's grandfather and his glasses. The prequil comics explain the reason why the Autobots know about Sam and his grandfather, but granted the movie doesn't touch upon that. But I do agree with him overall.
