Henry Cavill looks like Superman I guess, I haven't seen any of his acting. But whatever, Superman is a pretty one-dimensional character, so he can't be too hard to play. Any word on a villain?

they are currently stating that even though Kristen is in the rumored list & has done a read through test she is currently eying other juicer roles that she has been offered after her role as Bella in the "Twilight" Franchise ends.

I could see any of the first three as Lois. But not McAdams or Stewart.

Anyways, I'm going for the second one. All the others have stupid facial expressions.

 

This post on AICN has some interesting insight as to what Snyder's Superman may look like.

Snyder sites Jim Lee and Curt Swan as his favorite Superman artists and it seems his take on Superman's costume won't stray too far away from the classic look as, for example, Tim Burton's approach.

To me, Superman's costume is the single most iconic super hero costume ever. As silly as the idea of "underwear on the outside" is, from a graphic design perspective, that red breaks up an otherwise all blue outfit and it would look silly if the red "trunks" were eliminated. I've never thought of them as "trunks" anyway. I hope Snyder keeps the classic look of the suit, especially the S-shield, including the primary red, yellow and blue colors that Bryan Singer felt needed to be dulled down for Superman Returns. There is just no need to alter something that has worked so well for 73 years.

 

 

Dean has always been my favorite Superman.

I think anyone considering Lindsay Lohan for ANY role right now is not very smart. I don't really want to see her in Superman.

Oooh. Kevin Costner as Pa Kent sounds very interesting to me. Not sure about Viggo Mortenson as Zod, though. He's a great actor, but I can't see him as Zod. But, just because Ursa may be in the movie, ZOd doesn't necessarily have to be the villain. Ursa could just be there to point to possible future story lines. I do vaguely remember hearing about this being (potentially) the first part of a trilogy...
