Cool...Ill pick up a double chested Soundwave. That will make him Unique compared to soundblaster and soundwave with 1 cassette. Is there an estimated or guesstimated release date?

Excellent news! Soundwave was the G1 transformer I was hoping they would reissue the most. I can't wait to buy one.

I will buy it for $30.

This is quite a suprise as I thought Hasbro considered the reissues a failed project.

I'm thinking that, with the advent of the new movie... they're going to be marketing alot of older G1 stuff again. Hopefully, TRU has learned from it's overpricing... hence the $30 price point listed for Soundwave instead of the originally estimated $50 or more I had heard when Hasbro was originally asked about a reissue Soundwave back when Takara did thier's.

I've got the Takara Soundwave & Soundblaster already, but if it were say... the Soundblaster mold (since that's the prototype we've seen) done up in Soundwave colors... it would make a nice addition to my collection simply because it'd be a nice combination of the two and different from the original and reissues.

It wasn't a TRU exclusive. I was referring to all the reissues that were released at actual retail. It fact many times they showed up in Canada first. And in the case of Sideswipe, only showed up in Canadian stores until the fans told Hasbro at BotCon it never saw release in the US.

Man, this is some pretty boss news. I missed on the Takara reissue, and I'm not too keen on spending $80+ to get one on eBay.

Wasn't there news a little while ago about more reissues coming? I thought there were 6 or so upcoming reissues mentioned, but no characters were confirmed, with this Soundwave being the first....or maybe I have a gas leak under the bed and dreamt this all. :peoples:

I don't count them though because they're not real people.

Awesome news! Now all we need is the g1 minibots, optimus, and megatron to show up in a store. I know they were all released, but I never saw any of them in a store to...you know...buy. Buying online just isn't the same.

If this is true, I'll buy it just for the expanded door, and put it on my original Soundwave (who has a busted door). Plus I like the fact that the original has pointy buttons. It differentiates him from Soundblaster's flat nosed ones.
