Yeah... I didn't want to see die cast end on the Takara side... But again, this saves me a WHOLE LOT of cash... But still, it's sad to see BT/BT* not get carried over to Kissplay... Man, $50+ for an Alternator... No way...

$50+ for an Alternator AND a little doll that makes you feel skeevy.

The doll doesn't make me feel anything. I'll wait for clearance.

Final nail in the coffin. These will just sit and rot, and then will go clearance.
I would like to take this time to give a hearty FUCK YOU to Takara/Tomy!

well, I can only justify that price with some metal, so I won't hesitate when I see an Alt Prime on the shelfs. Not like I have seen one yet...

It's a shame to see this line come to it's current state, even though I only bought 2 of the figures from BT :p  ...

Well, we all knew this a few days ago, but i'll have a rant anyway.

This one is going to make the Kup and Wheelie reissue look like a runaway success.

We can take some consolation in the fact that the line is pretty much dead in the water already. There are no more new Alt molds until at least least early next year, and unless they use the Civic mold long before Hasbro, or they do Autolooper, aside from Hot Rodimus, there's probably not much else they can do in the area of Alt/Bt Style molds...

...and i doubt the line can survive on oversized dolls bundled with a WST.

If Tomy are so hellbent on making Transforming toys with figures, maybe they should make ones with PROPER action figures rather than static figures with interchangeable limbs....

I think something like that may do well enough in North America too. Hasbro could just market it as a 2.5 inch Sigma Six /Transformers cross over. G.I.Joe certainly needs the kickstart.

People bought Binaltech for the Diecast, if they kept the diecast, plenty of people would've contined to grumble About Marrisa and bought Kiss Conoy anyway. Now a lot of those people aren't going to do that.

At least one person in TakaraTomy doesen't have a clue how to market Transformers.. We can't blame them for wanting to attract more customers but attempting to do that by a means which alienates already existing fans is extremely short sighted.

I like the color scheme on Kiss Convoy... but the alt mode isn't right, and it's grotesquely overpriced.

I'll buy it, but i'm waiting until it hits $30 or less.... and i doubt that is a long time away.

The only thing I like about Kiss Convoy is the painted crotchplate and chrome rims, otherwise Alt Prime looks better.

Well, that just makes the price tag so much bullcrap. I'll still pay it for KISS Hot Rod, but y'know... me and my Hot Rods and all. :p  But otherwise, no way in hell.

good, i do not even like the diecast, like i said in the other thread about this. i prefer it to be plastic, other wise it is too heavy. i don't get the big appeal about the metal. the alternators are way funner, with them just being plastic, then the BT's, but that is just my opinion, although i am not sure it is worth that price tag, but i will still get this, along with the other bta's. but other then bta's i am only collecting the alternators, i do not see a point to the diecast at all.

Now see, this has the opposite effect on me... Now I'm more tempted to BUY them because of no die-cast. At least the characters that Hasbro doesn't do... I somehow doubt Hasbro is going to have a Rodimus Alternator... I want my toys to match, so for me, no die cast just might mean an upcoming sale or two..
