Like ams, I don't care much for Animated personally, but it's more of a positive "I don't care, but all the power to those who do", not "I hate it and I wish it would get wiped out of existence".

Really hard to say either way. From what I've heard, Japanese audiences liked shows such as Powerpuff Girls and Teen Titans, and Beast Wars was pretty successful there as well. As Transformers cartoons go, it's different. Sometimes the Japanese like different and western, sometimes not. I think it has at least a fair chance at being a hit, coming off the relative high in TF awareness following the movie. The show is unusual (especially for a robot-based show in Japan) yet kid-friendly while still being action-y and loaded with shout-outs to all other TF eras, including more Japanese TF references than much of the Japanese-created media.

Hmm... I remember reading an interview or something with a designer (I'm pretty sure he was a Tf guy) and he said that Japanese mecha fans don't like robots who look like they were built to do their function, and preferred it when an average-looking bot was just abnormally strong/fast without their body actually reflecting that. Could be bad for bots like Bulkhead and Blurr.

 

Already did. They are discussing on giving TakaraTomy a call on changing the names back to what they used to have before.

 

I want a white repaint of Prowl. Maybe also a black Convoy and clear screamer.
