We've already seen the toy of Legends Class Springer. The Legends figures this time round include Optimus, Jetfire, Bumblebee and Megatron. All of them are characters who will appear in the film. Would Springer be the only exception? From the recent Toy Fair images, we've got to see there's even a Robot Heroes Springer. In movie 1, the Robot Heroes never included any character from outside the movies (not counting Protoform Jazz). We basically only see outside-of-movie characters in the larger size classes of figures, from Scout to Ultra, in movie 1. The movie toy leaks this time round only have Scout class figures who won't be in the movie. We've also heard Bob Orci give hints that the Decepticons won't be the only military vehicles this time round. Conclusion: we're going to see Springer in ROTF
I hope so, but the toy seems like an overt G1 nod what with the green colours. Bay would not approve a green Osprey in his film.
I'm on the fence about this one. I mean an early toy of an Autobot jet we knew nothing about until that day, plus the unrealistic color scheme of Springer kinda lead me to go in the "non-movie" toy direction, like swindle, payload and all the other peg warmers from last time. Maybe a nod to him in the movie, but I am starting to seriously doubt an actual transformer.
I was going through those clues earlier but the problem is his face doesnt seem movie-ish that why I think he is just a figurine like Wreckage(God I wish he was in the movie.)
Lol Thanks I think the green colour is a good point, but military green is still plausible for an Osprey, isn't it?
*sigh* - again, someone's opinion trying to be passed off as fact. I don't know why I bother to look at the movie threads anymore. Hypothesis after hypothesis and no factual information to prove anything. Why can't people just go see the movie rather than try and get everyone to see their point of view, get pissed at those who don't, then get more pissed when it's not true in the movie. I know, I know, I'm not new to this site - it shouldn't be a surpirse to me anymore. I'm done now.
I was doubtful of an onscreen Springer when we saw the Legends figure, but the Robot Heroes figure has put me in the "we'll probably see him in the movie" category. Also: Uh, that's not what's going on in this thread at all.
I'd say 85% because one we have atleast 15-20 robots unconfirmed. His altmode was spotted in filming location in china. Springer is quite popular to fans. Conclusion=Springer will most likely be in the film.
I must have misunderstood. See, when someone states in their opening post "Conclusion: we're going to see Springer in ROTF", that comes off as stating a fact rather than a hypothesis. Let's not forget that the statement is based on seeing a movie toy - you know, cuz every movie toy that came out for the first film made an appearance. How wrong of me to assume (question mark in the title or not) Seriously, I'm not trying to pick a fight here and I know it's easily done in the movie forums. Just continue on with your discussion, I'm done here. You can PM me with any commentary.
I hope Springer will be included in the film. Seeing an osprey transform on the big screen would kick ass. Also, I thought I read somewhere a couple weeks back that Springer was supposed to be the Autobots' transport around the globe. I can't remember where I read that, though.
I'm not saying I know for a fact Springer's going to be there. I'm only speculating, and this thread is meant for discussion on a possible Springer inclusion. Where's the fun in a movie forum board if you don't speculate? I remember reading the same thing about Springer transporting autobots, and I also can't remember the source. Not from a reliable insider though, else TWF2005 would have reported it already.
I really hope springer is in the movie...he would be a great addition..loved him from 86 He could def transport some bots in the offsprey..I have said this before!!! the autobots need a way to get around the world quickly!
