    hey duders,

can anybody confirm the above? basically sometime back we saw an auction for a color variant of puke green ratchet which was more mustard yellow. some commented it might be a running change, some suggested it might have been an early test run. but i dont believe any of this has been validated.

cuz im holding out on the mustard yellow if theres any truth in this.

there was a local rumor here that some dude actually saw one (i consider it semi legit cuz it was by a newbie who doesnt know abt stuff like running changes) but it wasnt proven.

    thx!

I know the Legends had a running change but I'm not quite sure about the Voyagers one.

While on the Hasbro tour at Botcon, I personally spoke to Aaron Archer about this, because the status/origin of the figure was unknown and I was curious about it. Super Megs was standing next to me at the time, so can vouch for the conversation.

I mentioned the running change in the color of Legends Ratchet and asked if the Voyager Ratchet was undergoing a similar change, based on the test shot that had surfaced. He said, "No, that's going to be an exclusive."

Just like the metallic DLX BB in Japan. Same colors, different finish.

GOOD PLAN! Put out a putrid green colored Ratchet everywhere, then a few weeks or months later release a close-to-movie color Ratchet as an exclusive. Awesome idea!

Things like this make me think Hasbro hates money. I'd have snapped up a yellow Ratchet. The white/red repaint should have been an exclusive. And give us a forest green mountain rescue version if you have to. The green of the existing toy is just . . . ick.

Wonder if it's because they didn't want multiple yellow toys out at the same time? I know that was the reasoning for having Tidal Wave not be purple in the states a few years back.

I don't complain much about Hasbro's odd moves, but this one really eats my lunch.
