I.... Really love xenomorphs. I've been obsessed with them since I first saw the Alien films at age, say, 7 or 8, and when I finally picked up a few figures of them starting a couple years back, if felt almost too good to be true.

I avoid sites or stores with figures these days to prevent further Xenomorph impulse buys.

Because I'm the only one in it.
I really like G.I. Joe and used to try to buy the F.S.S. figures when I was 13. Those were pretty great figures. While the TFSS sucked ass, the GI Joe FSS was blowing it out of the ballpark.
I have also written paragraphs and essays pertaining to how I believe FMA2003 is far superior to FMA Brotherhood, and the greatest story ever told.
I own every Western release of the Berserk anime adaptations (soon to broken when the Berserk 2016 blu ray comes out, which I'm refusing to buy because of the really bad dub).

    OK, here's a confession...

I've been a pro-wrestling fan since the late 80's, and that has led to an unusual hobby.
I am one of a small but dedicated group on the internet called "themers", who collect pro wrestling entrance music. I've been fascinated by entrance music since shortly after I started watching regularly, and I can actually pinpoint the exact moment it transformed from a passing interest to a fascination: watching a Ravishing Rick Rude entrance and being amazed by how long his song actually was (when some other wrestlers had music that looped after only a short time). I would listen intently to every entrance, trying to catch a few extra seconds that I hadn't heard before.

With the internet, themers have been able to determine the source of the music (whether WWF/E made, stock music, or a commercially released song), and share info about when songs were used; the Undertaker has used so many different combinations of gongs and music that it's STILL unclear exactly how many there are. It was only 2 or 3 years ago that Cactus Jack's WWE music was found, in an obscure discontinued stock music library, after someone reported they heard the same music in a porno movie

I make my own edits, be it a WWE-perfect edit of a stock song (i.e. the Hardy Boyz) or adding an arena-only intro to a WWE released song (for example, the instrumental intro to Rob Van Dam's "One of a Kind", which was not a part of the commercially released track). And I compile the songs on multiple CDs, organized by year, and listen to them in my car.
Yes, I guess I'm kinda

Cool. I liked it in the early 80's when the wrestlers were actually using popular songs as their entrance music.

I will confess my lifelong love of automobiles. I have a small collection of mostly European cars. The bulk of the cars are older VWs. I am currently looking into adding a ninth car to my collection which is a 1966 Mustang Fastback. I relish in the hunt for mostly original condition one owner cars and I like finding rare parts and accessories.

Yeah, exactly. Hulk Hogan used "Eye of the Tiger", Junkyard Dog used "Another One Bites the Dust", Koko B Ware used "The Bird" by The Time, the Road Warriors used Black Sabbath's "Iron Man" for their epic entrances before coming to WWF...

A few contemporary wrestlers have used commercial music to great effect, like "Cult of Personality" for CM Punk and "Metalingus" for Edge. But there's just so much legal garbage and royalties to deal with, no wonder bigger promotions like WWE and Impact/TNA stopped using commercial music. And it really bugs me that WWE has to dub over it on their Network. So much for historical accuracy.

there was one time i was waiting on line at dragon's den with my brother during free comic book day, and the guy in front of us turned around and started talking SUPER EXTREME NERD TALK! it was so bad..."hey, LJ. imma go check on mom in the jeep, bye!" and i left him on line....the most powerful d*** move i ever poled.....

also, in left 4 dead 2, i stayed up on the hill in "heavy rain" even after my brother and his friends needed help. when i finally decided to go down because "they were going to catch me" a jockie pulled me back and i died. since they could't go up the hill...i deserved it.....

lastly, i have a tendency of driving people off cliffs and jumping out beforehand in halo when i want my warthog to myself!

Yet I still don't get how ECW got away with it back in the 90's. No way could they afford the rights and a lot of the wrestlers used major bands music as their entrance music. Sorry to get off topic, should take this to the wrestling thread.

Turok was a great video game for all its weirdness. Dinosaurs, Aliens, advanced tech and time travel? I used to love those games.

It was the closest thing to a good Dino-Riders rehash... which I'm still waiting for....

Like most superheroes, they're drawn to be appealing. Nothing wrong with that. Marvel understood this, and released several 'pin-up' calendars.

Heymans been asked that in interviews. Like a noname Indie fed, he just used the music without seeking rights, rolling the die and taking a risk on getting sued (nobody did)

I have a problem with popular heros being (as of late) made to be a bad guy.

Captain America, Injustice 2 Superman, even Spiderman with the Superior comics, etc.

Probably should be in another thread, but thought it would work here.

I sort of have a crush on Chun-Li.

I sometimes pretend to do things some of my favorite characters do, such as Scorpion's "GET OVER HERE" spear, shouryukens, Yoshikage Kira holding someone's hand, Pretty much anything Batman does, ect. I don't really do that in public though.

This one fits into a lot of fandoms: I think asking for cancelled shows (even ones I like ) to come back is kind of stupid. I mean, some I can get behind like Samurai Jack, since that show didn't have a proper ending before now, but when people say stuff like "Harvey Birdman needs to come back, Danny Phantom needs to come back, any other show that actually had some sort of an ending needs to come back" kind of irritates me. Like, these shows didn't end abruptly or had an unfair cancellation-they ended. There's no need for something that had a conclusion to be brought back. I mean, if it happens and it's done well I won't mind, but I really don't think it needs to happen.
