in regards to the jackhammer mode, the novel detailed a decepticon who moved like he was on a pogo stick. i believe that is what's happenin here. and, oh boy. if anyone remembers, that sideways concept was one of the very first concept arts from tf2 we saw.

I may have missed it, but has there been any explanation as to why Sideways looks for the most part like a complete rehash of Barricade?

I imagine this is true, but I hope it doesn't look as goofy as it sounds.

It was confirmed by Rizky Business, who has seen the film: Rampage doesn't have legs.

Sucks that his toy isn't movie-accurate.

Ok, seriously. If Barricade doesn't appear in ROTF, then I'm just going with the whole "Sideways is a reformatted Barricade and the name change is for the toyline" thing.

Its kind of a bummer how big the differences are between the Sideways toy and the actual model are.

So the toy is wrong? No four-legged backback?

And c'mon Sideways has the same indented chest, the same hands, the same FINGERS, the same feet (even the tips of his toes) and a near identical head. WTF!?

I think the designers may have intended Sideways to be a reformatted form for Barricade but then dropped the idea and decided to make him a completely new character. Just a theory.

For us Barricade fans that may have been a good thing considering Sideways' role in the film. I really dig the design though because it does have the similarities to Barricade which I thought was a great design to begin with.
