I don't think I've ever cared about what Conan O'Brien thinks, and I'm not about to start now.

 

I'm tired of the bashing--from everybody, but since it's about the Movie, moving to TF Movie forum.

Be amused. Nothing to do but really just kind of laugh at how utterly insignificant a billion-dollar franchise currently is right now.

People like him appeal to the short attention span crowd that don't know what to cheer or what to boo until they are told.

Same here especially if he's also ripping the other Hasbro brands like MLP and it's fans unfairly. It's one thing to bash the TF movies but to also bash the other Hasbro brands and their fans that had nothing to do with how the TF movies came out is just crossing the line.

 

In all seriousness, if you don't think the movies are that bad, don't be so agitated. If you think otherwise, enjoy your laughs while it lasts.

That was swift and savage. And hilarious.

This was forced and clunky. Shoulda quit while he was ahead.

And that's just kinda lame. He feels like a guy who makes a funny joke at a party, and keeps trying to make the same joke with diminishing returns each time. Granted I don't know what punchline you could give that joke to make it funny, but maybe that's a sign it should've been avoided entirely. Just like the Transformers movies.

C'mon, if you can't laugh at this stuff, then you're part of the problem. If you can't laugh at yourself, someone else will, might as well roll with the punches.

He's right and the films deserve it. Paramount and Bay's overconfidence lead to an increasing lack of care and effort for the franchise over time. Even with the writers strike negatively effecting ROTF, it still made bank. Then DOTM made bank. Then the Chinese-pandering AOE made bank. The films had their faults, yes, though ROTF had an excuse, DOTM seemed like an improvement, but with AOE you could tell things weren't getting better. Paramount and Bay throught they could put out shit and still make bank. They were painfully wrong. Chinese viewers wised up and started putting their money where their mouth is. TLK had lost its safety net.

All we ask for is a goddamn competent writer, a good story, respect to past continuity, and a director that will honor and follow the plan of the good storytelling. TLK feels like such a mess. If TLK were a cheese, it would be Swiss.

 

The franchise has become a joke to most movie-goers now.

It's up to the creative team to change that.
