Hey all, I am trying to modify a computer mouse to fit inside a hockey puck and another, smaller circular object. This second object is less than two inches in diameter.

I have taken apart several mice and cannot find a board which nicely fits into a two inch circle. Does anyone know where I can find one? OR does anyone know how to take a standard optical mouse board or mini optical mouse board and modify it so that it would fit into a circular object with a <2" diameter.

This is for my own amusement and once I get past this hiccup I swear I will post what I have done. I promise you will all like my idea.

Didn't Apple used to make a mouse like that?

Try a mouse that is designed for use with a laptop... they can get pretty damn small.

Yeah, Apple had a mouse that was similar in shape at one point.

Yeah, Apple's own hockey puck mouse. Despite my being a self proclaimed Mac fan, I have never liked their one button mice. The Supermouse more my type of pointer, though ideally I'd love a good Intuos.

Mac's old mouse had one button and no scroll wheel and it wasn't optical. I want all of those features.
