I am not sure if this is posted, but the July issue of Computer Graphics World has BB on the cover. Inside it goes over all the things ILM had to do to make the bots look so real. It also gives a 3d description of some of the bots, like poly count and such. It's pretty interesting, and answers questions like why the bots look dirty and scuffed but the cars don't.
