What particular group of transformers brings out the completist in you?

    Note:
We already know completists make up the minority in this hobby.
So please, no bashing the practice, and no need to mention that you are not a completist. Thanks :)

Right now, I'm trying to complete the Hasbro/Takara Mini-bots.

My dream is to have a complete set of the Antex, Estrela, IGA, Lynsa and Rubiplas versions.

Construction-based TFs, particularly Movie-style Decepticon ones.

None. I started this post with Masterpiece but ended up changing it because of the stupid repaints.

I was a completist with the Powercore Combiners line, but I have a rule when it comes to collecting; "Purchase no recolors until all primary molds have been acquired." Unfortunately, by the time I was able to acquire Waterlog, Skyhammer, and Heavytread the recolor 5-packs were no longer readily available. I pretty much just gave up after getting Heavytread. So now I'm down basically every recolor in that line. I don't even have Windburn and Steelshot, despite the two being at both Toys R Us' that I frequent. If I hit the lottery I'll go back and hunt for the recolors. Maybe I should play the lottery.

Financially it's just not feasible to buy up a whole toyline for me, though I came close for the PCC line and I've bought all the PRIDE stuff so far. I am a big sucker for sublines though, like combiner teams, dinobots, wreckers, Autobot elites, etc. if I can find a subtheme in a toy line I'll buy up everything that fits it.

The only line I've completely collected is Machine Wars. Honestly, I can't see myself collecting any other line completely. I've come to accept that there will always be a few (and in some lines, several) stinkers in any given line. That being said, I could never bring myself to buy a bunch of figures that I don't even like solely to complete a line. Regarding my completing the Machine Wars line, I did so for three reasons. Firstly, the line was EXTREMELY small. Second, if you're patient, the figures can be found very cheap. Lastly, as hard as it may be to believe, I actually LIKE all of the figures/molds used in that line.

I have a complete American release collection of the Unicron Trilogy and Alternators.

I considered the War Within Titaniums a subline and still need Grimlock and Prowl from it.

Had complete a complete movie 1 line, but trimmed it.

I have a complete American Animated Collection, Beast Wars 10th Anniversary sub-line, Most of Transformers:RID.

Also have most of the Fun Pub Club and Botcon exclusives.

I am thinking my completionist tendencies have started to fade since the first movie came out though, I attribute that to over-saturation of slightly altered paint jobs and Bumblebees.

I probably won't complete the Prime line, unless some of the remolds actually show up in the show.

Oh yeah, I've been picking up odds and ends from other series, and my eventually try to complete G1, G2, Machine Wars, and Beast Wars. Dunno yet.

You can say you're a Masterpiece mold completist...
That's how I am with them as well.

I'm ALMOST a Classics completist. The only Classics figures I'm missing are:

    -Lucky Draw Convoy and Galvatron
    -the Euro minicon 8-pack
    -Dragoyell
    -Wonderfest Black Convoy
    -this year's Botcon Longarm
-United Deluxe Unicron, Beast Megs, and Primal (just can't bring myself to get them)

I've got the complete US Animated line. And all of the Botcon figs from FP-run Botcons except for a few custom-class figs. I've got all the Binaltechs except for Black Convoy and that end-of-the-line Blue Bluestreak. Not many bragging rights associated with this, but I've got all the Robot Heroes aside from Prowl and Laserbeak. :)

Oh, and talk about the least-impressive line on which to be a completist... I proudly proclaim that I own all the 6-in. Titanium figures. Yes, you heard me right. Bask in the glory my complete collection of shitty floppy pieces of scrap metal. Baaaask!

I'm actually trying to break away from being a completist. That's why I passed on United Unicron and the BW guys. I don't need them, don't want them, and would ONLY be buying them for completist purposes... so I passed.

Unitl they go on clearance... ahem...

Closest line for me to complete was the Robot Masters...I stopped before the DVD versions and Magazine exclusives.

I think I have completist tendencies, which if I don't rein in, will burn permanent holes on my wallet. I have recently completed my Brave/Yuusha and Eldoran collections and will complete my 1986 TFTM collection when I get Gnaw (soon), but I'm trying hard to resist getting the Optimus Prime versions that I don't have yet (easier to do for those that I find ugly).

I have the entire US Released RiD line short of 2 store exclusives.

I might have the entire non-cyberverse/FE US retail Prime line
