wow, the new ones are actually really nicely done ~ not feelin' the black and Grey limbs, but in the combined mode they work pretty well (should made 'em match, though - both black or both grey) ~ this just creeped up into the "maybe buy" catagory, depending on how much it is and if i can be bothered to go to Wallyworld...

I'm gonna get him. I like him but at the same time don't. It's weird but he's growing on me.

Great comparison shots. I still doubt I'll get Classics Devestator since I have the Energon version, but it's still a little tempting since I actually like that new color scheme. The bright green screams 'Constructicons' more than it did on the muted Energon version

Those are really nice. The extra paint apps really set it off. I'm still not gonna get it though, as I have the Energon one.

Yeah, that's a definite buy for me, too. It's not perfect, by any means, but it's worth the price. They did a pretty good job applying the old color scheme to it but in a modernized manner.

I can't decide if I like the use of transparent claws or not. Part of me thinks they look cool, the other part thinks they could have made him even more "G1" by losing the transparent "energon weapon" look and just making them opaque plastic.

Okay, here's a question.... how well would those Universe Constructicons (the Target-exclusive RID Build Team repaint) fit in with these guys? I don't have either of these sets, so I'm not sure. But, are they about the same scale? I don't suppose they use the same connection method, do they? Just wondering if it would be possible to mix and match between those sets to get five (or even six!) unique molds. I'm almost sure it wouldn't be... but I can't help but be curious!

I too, am liking this a lot more than when it was first announced. I probably will have to get it (if I can find it at my Wallyworld). The paint job really looks nice on each robot, and really works well combined.

I'll definitely get it. I really dig that it's sold as a set.

Those were some really nice pics. Have a feeling we'll be hearing alot more from qwertyleo in the future

Anyone know if there' model paint out there with the EXACT color match as Dev green? If so what color??

Just a few more G1 touch-ups should do

I plan to try the same thing. I bought the set with the ones who look like Bonecrusher & Scavenger to give this guy unique arm molds. The connectors do not match but this is why I keep the twist-ties. :D  I'm sure a few people are planning to try the same thing.

This set is a must buy for me. The colors & new paint apps are lovely and this is what the Energon set should have looked like. My Energon set is becoming kitbash practice fodder when I get this set. For $20 its worth it.
