Since finished product pictures of all three Devastator add-on sets are now available, I figured I'd compare them.

Opinions? Which do you like best? Would you mix and match?

The Junkion Blacksmith version looks to be the most cohesive and well-proportioned to me.

I just don't like the green thighs on Blacksmith; which is why I prefer Destroyer:thumbs2:

Are any of them cheap? As in sub 50? I'm not going to pay Crazy Devy prices because the upgrade isn't worth 100+ in my opinion.

I would actually mix and match:

Crazy Devy head, arms, hands, and rifle.
    G1 chest shield
Junkion Blacksmith thighs, but paint the thighs either silver or purple.

But that's just me. The Destroyer head looks cool, but in those pics I prefer the CD head. Then again, this head:

    I would use too.

You know, thinking about this thread is making me contemplate an Encore Devy and the JB set. Which is not something I should be doing.

Has a price been reported on the JB set?

TFC's blog says 160 yuan, or about $25. Plus import costs, etc.

    -edit-

And for the record, the CHMS/X-Transbot/whatever set is $50 at BBTS. The Crazy Devy set in it's entirety... much more.

I think those last pics just got me on board with the JB set.
    Love that Cartoon Head.
He doesn't have that weird separation between Hook and Longhaul that the CD/X-Trans
has because of the torso swivel.
But yes, those thighs and mixing drum could use some purple paint.

Also, X-Trans/CHMS has some questions of quality based on past offerings.

I hope that stays. The CHMS one started out on RK at $19.90, then jumped up to like $40 or something like that in a few days.

That sucks bigtime, but good for those that got there early preorders in. It seems they raised the price after BBTS,TFSOURCE, and kotoys priced there's around 39.99-49.99

Where can I preorder Junkion Blacksmith set? If it's really 25USD it's a steal for the whole set.

The G1 original is still the best, because it's the original. If you want an "updated" look and poseability etc... then you're better of going for Hercules or Giant...or both.

With these add-ons, they wouldn't look right on my G1 collection shelves, but it's not enough of a fix to warrant including with classics.

I agree- Xtransbot is the best (value for money)... Junkion blacksmith's hips look ridiculous
