With Shockwave being the new main villain in the 3rd movie how is Shockwave movie evil than Megatron?

I don't think he's going to be the "main villian" per say, but I think Bay realy meant that'd he'd be one of the major Decepticons of the film. I guess on the same level of major-ness as Megs and Screamer. Which I like.

I hope so too, to downgrade Megatron again would just leave a sour taste in many fans mouths.

Hye, if Shockwav'es the big bad, I wouldn't CARE if they downgrade Megs. He's done that to Megs in the comics all the friggin' time :D

I half suspect that part of the movie could be set on Cybertron. That may be where Shockwave comes in.

    This.

I don't think Shockwave is replacing Megatron. I think that after the events at the end of ROTF, Megs and Screamer return to Cybertron. Megatron left Shockwave in control while he was gone, and he returns to hatch a new plan/use new weapon/new army etc. It'll all tie in with the space race plot too.

So they shouldn't be replacing Megs, just adding another major baddy to the big mix. Hopefully Soundwave can get some action in this one too.

Outside Megs,Starscream, and the Fallen, no Decepticon really gets any love. They are basically there, have a few lines, and get killed, or in some cases, fall into a giant plot hole and are never seen again.

It would be good to bring another guy into the mix, we've seen Megatron and Starscream.
I do hope Megs is one hell of a bad guy though, no Master-Apprentice stuff.

Actually, I'm willing to bet that Shockwave IS trying to take over and is the "main villian" of the film. Megatron's been beat the fuck up and lost two times in a row, plus he's missing half his face. Logic would dictate that a new leader is needed ;)

Personally, I'm thinking they'll take some elements from Dreamwave with Shockwave taking over Cybertron and coming to Earth and declaring Optimus and Megatron to be war criminals. All while working to achieve his greater goal.

I hope Shokwave is something like what his Generation One character bio, an emotionless logic based Decepticon who wishes to destroy Megatron and take over as the Decepticon leader, but obviously doesnt show it too much or at all. However, I would like to see more of Megatron and Soundwave, as Megatron was very much absent from the first film and was pretty much the Fallens pansy in the second film and Soundwave ha very few lines. I do agree that by "Major Villian", Bay means Shockwave will be one of the Decepticons like Megatron and Starscream who have a more in-depth story thats expalined a bit more than others. But in the end, I suppose we'll have to wait and see.
