Many of you saw my 'dry brushed' Leader Class Optimus Prime earlier. Well, this is a much 'cleaner and shinier looking' Leader Optimus Prime for a customer who wanted it pretty and shiny. Once again, no flames on this one.

This one took an incredible amount of time and masking too!!

Very nice. It always amazes me, the amount of detail that Hasbro/Takara put into the mold of these figures, and then they waste it with the sub-par factory paint jobs that they put on there.

Thankfully there are works of art like this that bring it all out. :thumbs2:

Thanks guys! No flames because I didn't have any flame stencils available for this one. I will be inquiring some customizers about that though for the future for sure. The customer didn't mind at all though :D

Oh, my Goooood!!!! I know it will blow me away but I never ever expect in this level. It is so so great.

My friend, seems you are too busy to decorate the background. I cant imagine if you put some effect lilke: the mirror effect is used on the ground and put the background as black to highlight this great OP ....

All in all, one of the BEST ROTF OP I have ever seen.

I actually prefer it without the flames. And I'd love to see vehicle mode pics to prove that point. :D

I like the non-flame look, different, yet effective. The mix of drybrushing and airbrushing looks good too, something I'm experimenting with as well. The trick is finding the balance, which I think you nailed here. Only thing I would've done different is throw in a little Alclad chrome, there's some cool tricks you can do with it to weather it as well. Either way, good looking take on Prime.

Thanks JBarb! I know what you mean about the aclad. I've been wanting to get some of that to experiment with. Seems like some tough stuff too.

    BECAUSE MICHAEL BAY SUCKS!!

Seriously, you really think a robot in disguise, the humble leader of the autobots, would choose such a ridiculous, ostentatious design?! FUCK the flames.

My thoughts exactly. Cool looking truck, dont get me wrong, but humble it is not. I would've believed it a little more if it was a rusted out beater, one that looks like its been through hell and back and kept on truckin.

Its called moving on and trying news things. Change is good...especially from the tired old 80's designs.
Prime with flames=only way to go.
That said this looks nice, but why so few pics and no alt mode?

Time man, I don't have enough of it. This is a commission among many that I am working on and I post up what I can when I can. I'll have more pics soon enough - just when I can. This one was only completed just the other day and I still have to add some minor details here and there before I send it on its way. Thanks though!

I'm working on a Nemesis Prime soon and that one will definitely NOT have any flames. It'll be 100% black shades and metal shades and that is that - It'll be like the Angel of Death himself crawled out of the grave and possessed a black Peterbuilt mwah hah ha ha...
