Salem, NH Walmart had a Commemorative Series 1 Ultra Magnus in stock this morning. I bought it, it was mint in the box and the real thing. It was not in the system, so the asst. manager used the Movie Voyager price of $19.76. I have a receipt, but it obviously did not ring up properly. My 23 year reputation will have to be proof enough.

It was the only one there. I don't know how much it is actually going for, because it did not scan in. I probably got a very good deal on it though.

    wtffff.

congrats on the purchase, but I'm surprised nobody (TFW, Allspark, Seibertron, anyone) has an answer to why this was being reissued.

somebody probably purchased one online, and when they got it, returned it to a local walmart for a refund. I had read over on the allspark, that was what some were going to do.

yeah this sounds like it was a return from online, thats why it isn't in the system, so the manager just made up the price. they could easily have just no sold it to you or charged you for something more expensive. so if you see on that someone returned you can try to get a decent price on it. but i doubt they're actually shipping to walmarts.

If it's not in the system though how would someone have been able to return it, just via proof of receipt or what? In my experience Wal-Mart doesn't let you return things if it doesn't come up in their system, I tried to return a wireless mouse and they told me no dice since it wasn't coming up.

Also - lucky to have gotten the manager to give it to you at a low price. That happened to me once at Media Play with a Ghost in the Shell figure, it wouldn't ring up and the manager just quoted a price - ONE DOLLAR and the thing was really supposed to be 20-30 range, holy shit. At Wal-Mart though this stuff is rare in my experience, I've taken toys (like Energon Galvatron) up to check out only to be told I couldn't purchase them at all because they weren't in the system, and a lot of times they wouldn't even show up again.

Wal-Mart.com has a thing where you can return an item to a brick and mortar store instead of mailing it it. All you need is the shipping invoice showing what you paid and that it was indeed from Wal-Mart.com. They give you the refund and then the item goes on the shelf for someone like the original poster to come in and buy.

If they had the shipping online receipt I'm sure they could return it. they probably take it at the store and scan the receipt to notify the online store to refund your money/credit. cause the stock b/w online and physical store is not guaranteed to be the same, I'm sure they expect some things to not be in there system.

Insane Galvy that makes sense, kind of what I was thinking in terms of showing a receipt or invoice of some sort that comes with the package

Just weird to me that they can give someone a refund but not know how much to sell it back for, just an oversight I guess

I returned my order of 4 UM to a Walmart nearby last week. The store refunded the price of the toys & sales tax, Walmart.com refunded my shipping later that day. Maybe I will go back and see if Walmart put them on the shelves!

FYI New policy states that only Walmart.com can refund your shipping. Since I got billed over $70 for an 8lb package sent UPS Ground, I was able to get my money back. Since the product listing had not been updated, the rep saw that I did not get what I wanted.
