Every once in a while a holiday moves "comic shop day" from Wednsday to Thursday.

Just want to find out if I'm wasting a trip by going today.

(my "new" shop doesn't even put out the books untill mid-afternoon)

I moved again. I've been going all the way into Manhattan to Forbiden Planet & Midtown Comics, but I found a more convienet place out in the 'burbs.

Problem is the owner doesn't seem to be in the best of health and I think he's in the "I don't give a %^& anymore" mode.

Plus he "pushes" comics on people at the check out. And last time he told me I had to take a "free comic". (it was a stack of old issues, none of them were titles I cared about).
If you don't pick one he throws one in your bag at random.

    Weird guy.

Comics usually are delayed by the major holidays, when UPS and FED EX are closed along with the USPS. Columbus day doesn't normally delay comics since the majority of stores receive their package through others means than the post office.
