Noted at bottom of news article...

"Word is that these will also be made available thru the Hasbro Toy Shop."

Maybe some will be able to get it still without going to comic-con ???

Looks like I may have to ask somone to pick one up for me at the Con' (if that's remotely possible) or ask someone to order it for me at the toyshop. Hmmmm. :/

If they were smart they'd leave some to the side for the fans that can't go to SDCC to get some, because if they take all the ones they produced to the show the wonderful wonderful scalpers will simply grab as many as they can. Which means none will go to the HTS.

I think Alternators has official made me go... eh... this might be a nail in the coffin for me...

I knew this was coming, just it wasn't official yet... *sigh* I hope they stock plenty on their website because SDCC is entirely too regional of a place to sell a numbered exclusive.

I am with Redline. Being numbered in the line. This could turn off several completitsts. Considering several people bailed when they couldn't find Swerve.

Yup. I bail. Getting new Alternators is all too much of a pain, considering how dull many of them turn out to be. Getting all upset over a toy... it's just not worth it.

I'll be a happier man without them in my life, methinks.

Boy am I happy to find out that if this is true, HasBlow has screwed over a large portion of those of us who collect ALT's.
I cant afford some scalpers prices on ebay to pick him up.
A store exclusive I could see, but this, this is out of bounds of reason.
    Thanks for *nothing* HasBlow.:banghead:

This sux. If Hasbro is smart, they either put him in the Hasbro Toyshop or make it a TRU exclusive, but this is wrong. Hasbro knows this will be a highly sought after figure and they pull this!

I think it's pretty likely he'll end up on the hasbrotoyshop.com, and even if he doesn't and if I don't make it to the Con', I have a very good buddy that's going there for all 4 days and can get me one or two. :thumb

What a freakin waste of a mold. First it gets turned into Optimus due to Japan's market needs, and then they waste the black repaint on a straight repaint that's a convention exclusive, preventing it from being any use to those who would like to turn it into a character they've consistently refused to give us.

If the line is dying, as some people claim, it's time to do the repaints on the characters people want. Instead, for the third use of this mold we'll probably get a ridiculous orange and blue repaint named after the Throttlebot Wideload. With no face resculpt.

    Bah, I say. Bah.

Is there an entrance fee to get into the con? I have a sister that lives in San Diego, but she wouldn't touch a comic convention with a 20 ft. pole. Maybe if she could get in for free I could talk her into snagging one for me. :D

Why did the ugly version get mass released while this beauty is reserved for a handful of people in California? Not cool, Hasbro. Not cool.

    *Sigh*

It's a gamble at best to wait and see if there are any left over for Hasbro to put up in their online store, even if that's going to be the cheapest method besides being at the convention. So, ebay will have them of course, Big Bad Toy Store probably, who else?
