Rob Liefeld (although I can tolerate him in some cases), Pat Lee (whichever stuff he actually drew, as I know that artists filling in for him were being made to draw in his style and are good artists in their own right), and Greg "Pornface" LLLLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNDDDDD!

It could be worse, Greg (P)Horn could start doing interiors.

    Rob Liefeld's a no-brainer. I mean, he's not even a nice guy. There's nothing redeemable about him.

Frank Quitely draws the ugliest people ever. Ever.

Todd McFarlane was always overrated in my mind.

These other guys I don't think are bad or anything, I'm just not a fan of their styles.

Ethan Van Sciver. Like I said, I don't think he's bad, but give me Ivan Reis any day.

Alex Ross. The guy's immensely talented, and I get that he really likes the Silver Age era and his superheroes looking like Mr. Universes from the 1950's. Ultimately not what I'm into though. Not to mention his whole hate-on for Kyle Rayner, and his refusal to paint Hal Jordan in his current GL outfit. I thought those were rather petty issues. You get paid to do a job, do it and don't bitch.

I loved Alex Ross' Joker and Harlequin art.

I love Ross' work so long as its limited to covers and prints and splashes and such. I just find his painting style art too complex to really enjoy sequential panels on a page without it feeling cluttered, cut off, or covered up by word bubbles.

Artists like Sam Keith and Jae Lee just never have appealed to me.

Manga art too. I've just never been able to get into the style and I've never liked Marvel's attempts to force into American comics.

Rob Liefeld is a terrible terrible artist, but I enjoy looking at his books for the comical aspects of them. It just too funny seeing how many Wolverine ripoffs he can create. He's cool to hate because well, it is kewl.

Alex Ross is poop at sequentials. Marvels worked because of the nature of the story, but Kingdom Come just looks like a whole bunch of superdudes posing for photos of fights instead of actually having them.

Whoever did Megatron: Origin, it was too dark and cluttered.

    Also, Liefeld hands down.

    Crap, forgot about him.

Also add Jerry Ordway to the list, could never quite understand why he's rated so highly. His storytelling from panel to panel is fine, but the way he draws women, especially their faces, ugh. Check out JSA Black Adam & Isis, compare with Dale Eaglesham and you'll see what i mean.

Ironically Frank Quietly started off doing 2000 AD years ago, and I find this old stuff much better than his newer US superhero stuff.

Artists I dislike based on art... (as opposed to Pat Lee being a douche) um,

Rob Liefield's constant teeth gritting art gets on my nerves.

Andy Kubert on some stuff. Some of his art in X-cutioners Song was awful, and considering he was bought in to replace Jim Lee made it worse.

Sal Buscema's art I used to dislike as a kid, but you know what? These days I have a whole new appreciation for it.

Will Simpson shouldn't be on this list, his stuff's amazing. His old UK Centurions art was a highlight of the UK run for me, still is actually.

Stuart sayger. I mean, his work was way too undetailed for Boinicle.

    And pretty boring IMO. Just compare it to other Bionicle comic artists, Randy Elliot and Pop Mhan;

    Greg Land and Jae Lee.

Land is a hack and Lee's stuff is just awful to look at. I think its mostly because everything he has done is not appropriate for his style. Such as Hard Knocks and TF vs GIJOE

Jae Lee's artwork can be an absolute mess when it wants to be--I'm never sure why the panels are framed the way they are or what exactly I'm looking at 9/10ths of the time. Also, whoever followed Doug Mahnke on Judd Winick's Batman run but that was more a victim of bad timing than anything.

Rob Liefeld just sucks no matter what.
