Bit of a weird mixing isn't it? Despite the almost universal hatred of ROTF I will say the Smithsonian scene with the SR-71 Blackbird is one of my favorite scenes from the movie series. So when I got to see the real thing during my trip for TFcon last month I felt the need to try and do a custom incorporating the Blackbird. The result, Combiner Wars: Revenge of the Fallen Jetfire. Took CW Cyclonus and clipped parts of his wings and removed the jet cockpit/nose. Used some parts from TFC Uranos to complete the transition from space jet to the Blackbird. The robot mode uses the head from the Fast Action Battler Jetfire toy. The combined torso mode, Jet Optimus, uses the ROTF Optimus' head which oddly enough is a perfect swap out for the Galvatronus head. Everything is fully transformable, however there is a bit of parts forming involving the nose of the jet as it detaches and is used as a gun in either robot or combined mode. Hope you all like Jetfire here, even if you didn't like the movie he came from
Wow, that's some real wizardry right there! You know you did a great job when you can't immediately figure out what you used to make him. I'm still stunned that you managed to get the Blackbird to transform so clean. Like, if this was in a store I wouldn't second guess it was official.
I love this. I'm finding myself more and more inspired by classics style movieverse characters. Beautiful job!
That turned out amazing!!! On a side note, my 10 year old just watched ROTF and absolutely loved the movie. I didn't think it was that bad at the time though.
Although I like the idea in general, I think you should have used a more G1 Prime head instead. The Bayverse head doesn't look right, IMO.
