That's what I was saying earlier, although port extenders do already exist.

However, it would be rather helpful, as then it could work normally instead of adding three upgrade parts at once.

You are not right. Now I'm going to have to order more of them. Would help with stability.

I don't know that I need multiple combiner limbs on anything, but a similar splitter that could make 2 deluxes or a deluxe and voyager peg together into a torso ala Liokaiser would be pretty game changing.

The two-deluxe torso would be rather unstable. You'd need to find a way to pin them together at both ends, then have additional ports to facilitate combination with limbs.

I've been wondering how to make the core figures combine with each other (say Optimus as the main with Elita-1, Grimlock, Silverbolt and and Hotspot/Inferno as the limbs). All the core body figures have female ports but no males so something like this could work towards that (at least for the upper arms...legs would be a whole different thing).

    You'd probably do best with a back-to-back peg or a Male-Male connector.

Not to break off on a tangent, but the upcoming Siege figures appear to have strategically placed 5mm pegholes, and there are all sorts of 5mm-CW adapters on Shapeways and elsewhere. Now, a a deluxe-voyager torso might require special engineering, and would be hard. The 2-deluxe torso, on the other hand... well.

That's still pretty unstable. You would need a better locking mechanism to keep the two together, and both would need to be re-engineered to include a combined-mode head, and ratcheted joints to support the weight of the limbs.
