Anyone else wish we got CW back when Fansproject were doing Munitioner and Explorer? Hey I'm glad we did finally get new combiners but I was so disappointed with both versions of Bruticus, I despise those hand/foot/guns and Swindle and "Blastoff" whom I refer to as Rippoff and Crashlanding{and the UW version Reentryburnup} look dreadful. I was kind of hoping the 3rd parties would jump on and make CW compatible figures but all we got was Lonewolf and some upgrade parts from PE. I was hoping they'd give us something more than that, but they were all interested in releasing their own versions of entire teams by then. I was kind of hoping someone would do something like this brutally sexy beast someone photoshopped together:

Yeah but those adapter pieces are really expensive and finding a Munitioner and Explorer at a sane price tag is nearly impossible. but if I could I'd totally just pick up Brawl and Onslaught and then get Munitioner, Explorer, a reasonably colored version of the Helicopter arm from the Energon/ROTF mold and adapters for my new limbs and a peg adapter for Brawl. Would probably need clear rubber bands for the turret cannons though. Hopefully I'll be able to do so soon enough.

 

Or just get a rotf bruticus and the fansoroject set and call it a day?

 

If only FansProject had finished their Combaticons. My biggest issue with the set is outside of Munitioner and Explorer, the other figures are just turds as Combaticons. Might as well have a Brown Slingshot parading itself off as Blast Off  

I'm pretty satisfied with the Bruticus we've gotten since. Still looking for a decent rifle for G1 Brute though.

 

Nah, I love that Bruticus but I love the CW Onslaught Torso and Brawl's Tank mode too much to go back to the Energon/ROTF versions. Blackout as Vortex is a concession I'm willing to make since CW Vortex too long for Explorer/Blast Off

He's just clamped on by friction, but there's no clip point. I would like to 3D print some sort of adapter someday, but I need to get a printer first

The existing Munitioner fits in pretty well with CW since he is smaller in robot mode but similar in vehicle mode. But Explorer ends up looking too small in robot mode and too thin in arm mode. I still hope to be able to make that work someday. But you can always get away with creative poses to hide the size difference.

 

I found a way to install the four prime masters on CW Megatron. But I haven't any of them

Cyclonus is actually one of the best torsos from Combiner Wars, IMHO.
