I really regret not getting the UW version for this..
Some mass shifting
Might be a better question for the third party forum, bud.
Oh that is cool as hell adding Bumble bee to that chest armor!
.... Is there a 5mm hole that the posts are going into on him some where or is he just hanging on the posts someway.
We got the G2 Menasor set and honestly blackjack in combined mode is a massive disappointment since he wont stay on AT ALL.. He LOOKS incredible up there he just falls off if the gestalt even leans forward a TINT bit in his pose.
I guess I will take some time the next time I get free to play and try all the different legends guys to see who I can get on there like you did with Bee.
I was just thinking this weekend I would really like a deluxe Bumble bee that is a CW/POTP style combiner limb.. in fact it would be cool to get all of the original Mini bots as deluxes so they scale with the CW classic Autobot carbots so while I'm dreaming an easy way to accomplish that would be a box set of minibots made from CW POTP repaints as their own combiner. Image if the CW Optimus prime mold was say pipes or Huffer, Bumblebee, Cliffjumper ( both from s reshel of one of the CW car molds probably the Prowl/ Streetwise/ Stunticon mold) Windcharger ( Reshell of the Sunstreaker/ Wheel jack mold ) and Brawn ( from the ratchet closed campershell version of the Off Road/ iron hide mold) were the limbs... make up an all new Combiner head character and give him mass shifting powers in universe to explain everything going back to the G1 first year mini bots..
I used a lot of Pledge Future on Motoromaster's pegs and Blackjack's hole to get them to stay.
Which Starscream is that?
Fun with leftover combiner parts

Damn ! Can I be your brother too?
I managed to pick up the entire set of Optimus Maximus (white prime) for cheap recently along with perfect effect 08 (blue version- could not find the white version on the cheap).
After some custom paint work, they work together really really well- even better than the white version I find.
1) PC 08 actually comes with silver front abs looks great with white prime, the entire belt is blue so I painted a white/silver belt buckle in the middle to kind of break up the blue.
2) From the back, the entire thing extension is blue so i highlighted some areas in silver to again breakup the blue.
Loving the silver gatling guns which transforms are the feet of the pc 08 set.
Take a look at the pictures and give me your feedback.
Got these lads relatively cheap. Such fun decos and great headsculpts. Who couldn't love a bright pink jet?
Do you think they're worth passing on a potential Takara version for? I keep flipping back and forth on them.
Once EE sells out, you likely won't see them at this sale price again. Takara has been mum on the Kaiser, unless you're super attached to the cartoon team I'd say go for it now.
Liokaiser is great! I was all over it for the color scheme.
I think if we were going to see a Takara version we would have gotten it by now.
I dunno man. That's genuinely a hard question to answer. I think they're really nice, and I love the work they've done to the molds, but they're not a premium product, deco wise, like you'd expect from Takara. If you can get 'em cheap (I got 'em in an online sale by a UK retailer) go for it. Worst comes to worst you can always sell 'em on. I think they're uncommon and desirable enough that you could make your money back. And who knows, Takara may never get round to relasing a version.
I find even with Hasbro toys taking a marker to add little details helps a lot ...E.g. I always paint the wheels. Sometimes it's just easier o buy the Hasbro version and just add custom paints.
I never touch up the takara versions because there is no need.
If the only reason you're holding out for Takara is because it may have a dual torso...then you're probably better off waiting. This would likely feel like settling for you.
If you like CW enough that you wouldn't mind doubling up (or tracking down the differences between the two sets) then it's worth the $70 it's going for these days.
I'm starting to think so too...
I don't care much for the setup, I just kinda would like having all six OG members.
