Just waiting on the three Combiner toys from FunPub, then I'll have some fun doing up some Combiner toy group photos.

 

So awesome. As a big fan of CW, I eagerly await that photo which has every single CW toy in it!

 

Man, I hope you have an aircraft hangar large enough to do the group shot! I'm pretty proud of my UW/CW collection but I bow down to yours.

 

I till love how CW G2 Menasor is straight up killing someone.

 

You know, I have the G2 Bruticus set but I never noticed the back cannon BS. Those look way better than what you get. UW Bruticus exaggerates the barrel length a little bit but at least it looks accurate.

 

My rule is no combiners with more than one of the same character. I will not deny how good that symmetry looks however.

 

Very nice, I never knew that the Devastator CW and UW boxes were pretty identical. I need to stack mine up like that too 

 

Curious what the ratio of punch-reach-shoot poses is among those boxes  

 

Collector store in the next town has Baldigus on sale for $30 off. Should I or should I save for the future?

Buy it if you can. He includes a couple of new guns so you can make a pair of combined guns like the original toys could, and yellow/gold versions of CW Computron's hands and feet which do look a lot better than the other combiners' HFGs. The Combaticon molds are all fun to mess with, and it's awesome that the Combatrons get some love in the Unite Warriors line as well.

 

It's amazing the guns he comes with. In addition to the standard Combaticons guns, he comes with a pair of Scattershot's guns as well as four of the Constructicons guns. It's fun to combine them all together into a beastly weapon of death.

 

I keep forgetting that the UW Constructicons get their own guns instead of just having to make due with Devastator's combiner kibble and pieces of his rifle, in addition to the improvements to everyone but Scavenger and Bonecrusher.

The little piece of artwork on the back of the UW instructions is amusing though. For Bruticus, they put in nods to some G1 episodes, including B.O.T. (which Vortex is suspicious of) while Swindle tries to sell Brawl's toys. (Brawl's all like "Hey! Those are my guns!") Meanwhile, that box art is gorgeous.

Does it look like we'll be getting a Unite Warriors Lio Kaiser, at all?
If not, any 3rd parties working on the other two bots to make the set right?

At the very least, should I pick up the Hasbro version? I'd hate to let some form of this slip through my fingers...

 

Still got my fingers crossed on the UW/CW combiner tooling making an appearance in the TLK line. We've had redecos out of many past lines squeezed all throughout movie toy waves and I hope this is no exception.

 

grab it. worse (release) case scenario, takara teases it in three months or something...

I really like him. I have all of the CW/UW Bruticus versions and he is fighting with UW Brute for first. It's nice to get one of these guys and not have to pay for upgrades.
