Well, on one hand, it's at least supposed to be steel grey, like the real thing.
On the other hand, I just saved myself $100! WHOO!
Oh yesss... After seeing it on the jet, I rather like. And the robot is still clearly Starscream. Yummy.
Doesn't put me off my pre-order, jet mode does look sweet but grey is way too dark for a real-world colour
I may make me reconsider hunting down an anime coloured one on ebay instead though if that scheme cuts the mustard.
Cancelled pre-order. Very sad.
I imagine the red will be much more saturated in real life, but other than that I think it looks damn good. I'm looking forward to getting both this and the anime version.
I thought these were just test colors, this can not be the final production colors. I am going to wait to see if this is in fact the final colors before I cancel my pre-order.
too bad, for what it could have been.
still buying it tho'.
show us the Anime version damn it Takara
Let's all remember the original picture that made so many weep like little girls:
And compare with:
The grey looks too dark.
White lines all over the bod mode aren't needed.
Crotch plate and more of the torso should be red.
Other than that... I don't mind it.
I'll be interested in seeing what the anime version looks like...
Regarding this club... Am I right in that you need to buy MP-03 and MP-04 to join and only then you can get the amine MP-03 that still costs more than MP-03 did? I can't see many people being willing to spend that much money in one go! Plus surely most people would only want one version of Starscream and not both??
Argh! The logic behind this has me stumped!!!
My thoughts exactly. Oh well, more money for the dealer room at Botcon.
Damn. Wings have that stupid G1 cartoon 'upsidedown Decepticon symbols' thing Takara seem to have taken a shine to since their collection Starscream reissue.
Well, this is disappointing.
This colour-scheme is just plain nasty. I don't really mind the gun-metal grey, but the lack of colour and abundance of white stripes makes Starscream look plain nasty! Oh, and it looks as if his face is yellow. This almost looks like something the good folks at Hasbro would do.
So, how and where can non-Japanese-speaking people sign on for the Takomy Collector's Club?
This colour-sheme together with the design changes to make the jet mode more real-life accurate strengthen my assumption that we will see MP3 as an Alternator (or a similar new military line) in the USA.
The overall scheme doesen't bother me.... but the stripes undermine the low visability theme...
There may have been a membership fee mentioned, but im fairly sure there was nothing mentioned about having to buy MP-03 and 04 to join.
Looks like a Starscream/Skywarp love child.
I shall call him Skyscream.
