Been pondering this for a while, and didn't know exactly where to put it, and seeing as it could be about anything thought i'd stick it here. I'm in two minds about this all the time, i wanna keep them in the box/on card, but they look better when they're out of packaging i'm my opinion. The only part of my collection which covers both is my Brawl collection, which i'm getting boxed and loose for.

    What are your opinions?

Loose :)  b/c it takes up less space.

Do have some boxed stuff, but it's hidden mostly!

Loose, but some stuff gets the packaging saved.

Classics, reissues, imports, alts, those kinds of things.

Loose. I like to fiddle with my toys that are on display not just look at them.

Though, I do understand why people are packaged collectors. That toy store look you get from having a bunch of packaged figures in your house is pretty cool. Just not my cup of tea.

On card stuff - loose. Boxed stuff - open but keep the boxes, you can put the original toy back plus you can stow some of the loose ones in there also.

On stuff that's rare I'd keep them in the box. With stuff not as rare I'd keep them loose.

Loose. I never saw the appeal of MISB collecting. Not to bash MISB'ers at all, it's just my personal preference. If they like to keep their toys in the box, good for them. To each his/her own.

Both depending on the toy/packaging. Most of my toys are loose on shelves but if I really dig the packaging or the figure I'll buy one to keep sealed as well...

I go by boxed, I don't play with my TF anymore, and I get more the feel of completeness with having them sealed. But I buy loose lots every time in a while.

Depends on the line I collect. I've decided some I want to have to play with and others for display and the "toy-store" feeling.
G.1 I mostly collect loose, primarily because MIB and MISB are way too expensive for my taste. But if I find a MIB one to a good price I buy it.
Beast Wars... I don't why I started recollecting them, I didn't like them the first time and I still don't the 2nd time so I try getting rid off 'em all.
Cybertron/Galaxy Force - all MISB/MOSC because first time in my life I had the opportunity and means to buy sealed TF's.
Classics all loose but I keep the boxes etc. Love to display them.
Movie 2007 line. All MISB/MOSC. Haven't got room for displaying them anyway so they're sealed.

Both but mainly loose. I buy Starscreams to keep sealed as well as one to open. The only other MISB I have is the BW 10th Optimus/Megatron set, simply because I don't have a place to put them once open yet but knew I wanted them.

Loose. I can't see how being a MISB collector can be enjoyable.

Both for something I REALLY like.

This is just me personally, but I get how other toys are being collected MOC/MIB because they're no difference than being in the box or not. But these are Transformers and they are meant to be played with and transformed, how am I gonna ever see the other form of the TF I just bought without opening it right?

Mostly loose. I only have a few boxed toys, mostly doubles of Transformers I really like.

    Loose.

If not you can save a decent amount of money by collecting Die Cast cars. It'd look just the same without nearly as much engineering and process costs.
