That was the only reason I wanted a Shadow Scythe. I was gonna repaint the purple to match the blue on Side Burn. It would be amazing if Fansproject gave us a set specifically for this guy (and that it didn't sell out before I knew about its existence ). Way better than translucent red, IMO.
I wasn't really looking forward to this (just bought the subscription for botcon purchase), but now that I see the final product, I really can't wait to get it. Between this and Skybite, is a RID themed botcon boxed set close? My money is on yes, but we'll have to wait to see.
Sad that even the club hasn't put images for this yet. They really should get on the ball and do it before other people get theirs in. Great looking toy nonetheless. Really wish FP can do an armor set for him, but problem is how to sell the story. Maybe armor is his super mode instead of changing into the hot rod color.. .=)
Looking forward to getting this. And if FP throw an upgrade for it out there then that just makes me happier. Might stick a Blesser in his hand whilst I'm waiting. Blue on blue.
I'm not digging it. The blue is too muted. I'm gonna hold it to see if FP is going to release Protector (although after seeing Clear Protector, I can imagine it will be a when, not an if)
I just got G2 Ramjet yesterday, and I couldn't be happier with it. I'm eagerly anticipating the arrival of Side Burn.
Why was he photographed in a pink tub? Did TFCC really change the deco that much. I mean the translucent green ehobby rod didn't scream Hot Rod either. SG did, but that because we're all used to seing black repaints now.
BIB: Most of the "photographers" on that board have a funny way of showing off new items As far as the deco, the apps given to Speedbreaker/Side Burn really give a call back to his asymmetrical look of his original CR/RID toy. As of now, I personally think this is the best redeco use of the mold.
So how much would the club be selling the extra ones for? I am in the club already and might be interested in picking up a second one. Last year's Dion was 25. Hopefully they don't try to gouge because they think they can with this being a classics mold and all.
Can't wait to receive mine. Now I need two things: 1)A FP Blue Protector armor set and 2)TFCC to do an X-Brawn repaint(from Generation Ironhide) so I have the RID Autobot Bros.
