I loved sideburn when I was little. He was the only car brother I even gave a thought to wanting in toy form and having this cool updated form is just gonna be awesome. Cant wait for him to show up
I'm really excited about getting this figure. It doesn't feel like an "update" to me, though. Rather, it feels like a "Classics" version of this figure that's been done retroactively. Speedbreaker/Side Burn is a great figure in my eyes and isn't in need of an update. However, I don't feel like that was the attempt here. This feels like an attempt was made to take a cool mold and make it cooler for a club freebie figure - mission accomplished Now, I want my Wildride and Mach Alert Classics!
Well they seem to be making this a G1 version of Speedbreaker/Side Burn, per the club comic. They even incorporate G1 Prowl as a sort of pseudo sibling to him. I would love it if we get a repaint of the Universe Ironhide mold in silver and green for Wildride/X-Brawn.
I agree. They done a really good job on this one. I think this mold actually suits Sideburn better than Hot Rod.
Looks fan-flipping-tastic! TFCC really did a great job on all the figures this year. Any word on whether it avoids some of the mold degradation issues found on BiS Rodimus?
While I do wish the blue was a bit brighter and less grey, that is a good deco and does work very well for the character. Looking forward to getting this one.
I'm kind of wondering that too, my Bis set didn't have any qc issues, I got lucky. I just hope that everyone is lucky this time around. I heard aweful stories about the bis pack. That said, I really can't wait for this figure!!!
Idk if this been ask already, but sre the using classics rodimus (don't have the mold) or is BiS and Classics Rodimus are the same.... Gotta renewed my membership soon...
This thing finally shipping? Looking forward to getting mine. Only reason I joined the club was for the Botcon discount...and I couldn't even make it this year afterall, so hopefully the figure is at least worth it. Never owned the mold.
Didn't expect the color to be so dull. Still, it looks pretty good, just not what I had imagined considering the coloring of the original figure as well as the promo shots they showed.
This figure looks awesome. I kind of wish I had gotten a membership, but I probably will next year for Runamuck. I might get Sideburn then if he's still available.
