Just wondering, if you join the club do you have any ability to buy the botcon set without having to go to Botcon? Or does the Botcon stuff work the same for everyone? Thanks.

Yes. You can buy the Iacon set, which includes the box set, and will ship to you a few weeks after the convention.

It costs quite a lot though, around $300 IIRC? It's better than buying the boxset, but you'd better get your pre-orders in quickly, they sell out within hours.

When do they go on sale, or are they already sold out? I can't seem to find it on the TFCC site.

I have a question about the club - I joined back at the beginning of October, but haven't gotten anything in the mail yet.

Shouldn't I have gotten a magazine by now?

I think one of the comics comes out in October, and the next one is December. So depending on when you joined, you might be getting December, the other issues, the toy, right up until October 2012's issue.

Just to be clear anyone can order a Botcon boxset. However if you are a club member you do receive a discounted price (typically $50 less). Also all you get when you order a non-attendee (iacon) package is the boxset of (typically) five figures, the certification of authenticity and the convention comic/brochure. It does not include any of the exclusive figure that are available only at the convention, e.g. the attendee bonus figure or the convention souvenir sets.

Can you buy the freebies and other exclusives not in the box as well online? And do they let you pre-order them?

You can't buy the freebie online from the club. However, TFCC will put any extra attendee-only sets from the convention online. The great majority of exclusives sell out, and those that are put online usually only last a hot second.
