This month we continue our series of collector interviews with a well known Transformers collector and blogger whose collection pictures inspire the kind of awe we all felt on our first trip to a Toys 'R' Us in the 1980s. We hope you enjoy his insight into the changes experienced by the collecting community in the last decade, his fabulous collection pictures and in place of the controversial opinions expressed thus far in our interviews, a thoroughly balanced and analytical view of collecting and its future. Take it away Eric...

I always like to read the opinions of fellow collectors and hear their memorable moments in the fandom. This has been a great read, thanks again Maz!

Also, I just have to comment how cool those detolfs looks arranged like that in the middle of his office. I would never think to do that!

I've really found it interesting to see the reaction to Eric's interview compared to the controversial opinions expressed by Morgan Evans (Interview 01) and Francesco Ristori (Interview 02). Eric's way of putting across what we may all have seen in the last 10 years and what to expect in the future has resonated nicely with people. Also his blog has won him a great deal of fans, rightfully so!

Awesome collection! Love the way he has it displayed. I just wish he would consider some glass in front of those shelving units...

Nice article too Maz. Maybe go a little more in depth next time? This read a bit shallow.

The interviews are set to a specific length for the majority of TFsource readers, and they are the same set of questions asked of every interviewee (the form was sent out to a selected group of collectors initially), the idea being that it was a standard set of questions which TFsource readers could eventually download as a form, answer, submit pics to us and then we could pick further interviews to feature.

    Yay! I'm likeable :)

I actually do have plans to put glass in front of the shelving units, it is just a matter of allocating the money away from more transformers :)

Thanks to everyone for all the great responses! It is truly humbling to be selected for an interview like this. I hope I can continue to contribute to the community in a positive way for years to come!

Wait, there are actually MORE Transformers you need? Pictures would suggest otherwise :D

You've already contributed hugely, positively and productively. No snark, no negativity, no bollocks...you're someone who has taken time out of their life to make the community a better place and to actively contribute positively to people's experience of it online.

You could easily walk away from the hobby today or behave totally selfishly for the rest of your collecting life and be considered to have done your bit as it were :)

Great interview Maz, enjoyed it immensely.

Arkvander, wish I had a room like yours, beautifully organized, and the collection itself is awesome!

It would have helped if Eric weren't such a punk, though.

Good interview, very insightful, and man, what a freaking collection. Imagine if one of us had a room like that as a kid growing up, that would have reached new heights of awesomeness!!
