We've been collecting tf's for forever now but the question is when should you stop

For me I don't actually know I'm 13 so have a long time before I quit

You stop when your collecting habits adversely affect the other areas of your life, or when you've just had enough.

I'll keep going until I'm at least 60. I'm 15 now, so that's at least 45 more years of collecting.

You stop when you feel it is time. If you are no longer enjoying the toys than its time to stop.

If it feels like an obligation instead of enjoyment, that's when.

I'd say until girls come into the picture. That should slow it down for atleast a couple of years.

You quit a hobby when you no longer find it enjoyable.

it's been told before, but a while back, i gave away my collection (G1- current at the time) because it wasn't making me happy anymore.

truth be told, it was a warning sign that i had bigger problems.

my point is that if you reach a point where you just don't get any happiness from the hobby, take personal stock of your situation before just getting out.

usually, people know when it's a deeper problem or just time. and you'll know and be okay- whenever that is.

I say stop collecting when you stop caring. And not because you've replaced one obsession with another, I mean just not caring about the franchise or the idea of having shelves full of toys.

    As with all hobbies:

You stop when it stops being fun. :)

Any sooner and it's not worth it, any later and you've waster your time and money.

You stop when you no longer enjoy the hobby or it begins to adversely affect the rest of your life in some way, (using bill money to buy bots etc..)

IMHO one thing that is a no-no is letting other people pressure you into stopping because THEY have a problem with your collecting.

well said. 100% agree with you. it's none of there business what we collect and enjoy and most importantly it's not their money we're spending.

i'd only stop collecting if it was affecting me in this manner, i mean spending money that was needed for bills and such or if i no longer enjoyed it.
