i love getting new bots. it makes me forget all my problems for a bit. my g/f tells me that when i find 1 in the store ive been hunting or when ups shows up to the house i start jumping around and freak out. i love what we do and i will never stop. transformers 4 life.
the last time i felt this collecting joy was several weeks ago, when i finally got the tftm legends 2-packs i've been searching for for so long (bb vs. scorponok, ironhide vs. blackout).
For me the joy I feel while building a new custom is more than just the collecting joy...because not only do I get a new TF...I get a badass new TF that I made myself. Right now I'm working on the 6 G1 combiners (I think there were 6)
9 or 10 american if you include monstructor, i know what you mean about the customs, i can't wait to get building my next one
My excitement comes from the thrill of the hunt, finding it on shelves, and finally displaying them in my cabinet.
Collecting/toy hunting is what keeps me sane. Whenever I am having a tough day at work or whatever, I basically think about my hobby and how I enjoy it during my leisure time. We all need things to help us unwind. Collecting is a great way to do so.
Boy, I love collecting. It's fun aside from weird looks from people. I was having a nerd-gasim will looking at HA SS and people were indeed looking .... weirdly.
