Really want a price for Hypno.
If all goes well, the next batch will arrive next week, and I'll be able to make them public shortly after that.
Here's the situation. When this mold works, it works really well. Unfortunately, because it's all held together with friction, if it's ordered in White Strong And Flexible Polished, it can sometimes come out too floppy to go together properly. The polishing process is pretty good, but you can get the occasional piece that is a fraction of a millimeter too small. I've changed a few thicknesses, and I think it will help. I'm also extending the lengths of the pegs, so they can be melted and squished down to form rivets. This should further help with assembly.
What do you guys think? If you're willing to risk it, I can make the current version available now, or you can wait and see how the new model comes out.
Personally, as stocked as I am to get these, I'm waiting for all of of your tapes to be available on Shapeways to order them all at once and so save on the expensive cross-border shipping costs.
Id say wait till you think its right. Personally I'm okay waiting if chance of being better
Yes, I'd like that/those.
ALL of your tapes kick ass hard.
Your skill is impressive, but your execution is even more masterful.
The new order is out, so we'll see if this is the one in two weeks. Here's a little preview of the new detailing. I took the Decepticon symbol off of the hood. I wanted it to be it's own thing, and I don't want to get shut down. I could put the Con hood up as a separate file if people really want it. I also added some surface detail to the snake side and an outline of the sticker on the tape side.
I think the snake mode would be perfect if each corner of the tape flaps on both sides of the head could fold back.
Hey Tom, check out your/my Cobra Cassette... Great job buddy !
I am modeling it after the Beast Wars Cohrada . I am doing some custom labels also and Tech card, will post pics then.
Looks great! Thanks for posting it. Looks like you did a bit of sanding on the corners. Any shots in tape mode?
Yeah, did round off the corners some, but like both ways. I will take some more pics when I get the labels done up and applied . I have your Scorpion tapebot in orange coming in a day or so and his name will be Stinger... Will post pics of it too and will do some Youtube reviews on both.
Love to see if you can do a Megatron cassette that turns into his gun and parts ?? What do you say ?
Would be cool to have Soundwave pop him out of his chest and transform and then can shoot him. = Perfect !!! Please give it a try.
Megatron huh? I hadn't thought about that one. Maybe.
Let me know when you do that video review. That would be rad!
I will, and I just figured out how to print on metal foil stickers like Reprolabels does, but at home. I have already done some and look sick. I have been designing the custom labels for these 2 cassettes and will make your mouth drop I think.
Can't wait to show you and glad you (Might) do Megatron cassette, it would sell like crazy.
Here it is in tape mode with custom labels I made. I did repaint it and did a custom card , and will take some pics when done.

The back of my cobra cassette.
Those labels look great!
I should tell you though, it looks like you might have the tail segment with the sprocket hole on upside down. That's why one hole is lower than the other. The most confusing thing about this model is that it has too many similar parts. I've had snakes sitting on my shelf for weeks before I noticed that something was on backwards or upside down.
Once again thought, the label looks great! I'm really impressed that you were able to print that yourself.
I love the label! What a great addition. What paper and printing method was used?
Would like to know as well. I use a HP Sticker paper from Office Depot for mine but these look REALLY good.
Ok finished on the cassette . I reworked the paint, sanded more, painted a simi-gloss black. Redone the labels and just look very cool.
