Super! Looks good. Hopefully will have a helmet-less head too. Can't wait to get Minerva too.

So... if the Japanese grew up with Master Force as part of their G1, and it has enough of a following to produce these statues, why aren't they also demanding updated toys?

for the record, they aren't statues, they are fully posable action figures, and this is CM Corp who is making these, not takara, so official japanese 3rd party, but who knows, if these sell well enough maybe something will happen.

Wow. most third party figures tend to be far from acurate cause of legal stuff or something but if you pull up a picture of ginrai, this one is 100% acurate. i'm amazed.

I can't remember the average cost of this series (they are part of "gutto kuru collection" - posable anime figure series) but it wasn't cheap.

CM's will display the painted sample of Minerva and unpainted sample of Ginrai at Winter Wonderfest this weekend, so hopefully the price will be announced at the same time.

That's because this is actually licensed, unlike everything else most people think of when they read '3rd party'.

It's funny how Revoltechs, CM's Dai Atlas and now these are the 'true' 3rd party stuff, but the term means a different thing these days.

I'm sure they do. However, I think the original seasons of G1 still hold more nostalgia for them, plus Has/Tak tend to make toys that they can sell in both regions, so I guess they get passed over somewhat.

All the same, maybe they don't like it as much as we do, maybe we just have a soft spot for it because it's this mysterious series of sequels to G1 that we never saw for the longest time.

It still bugs me that Japan has gotten United versions of Thunderwing and Straxus but not Black Shadow and Dauros (Skullgrin) yet. Weird.
