Anybody else ever see this movie? I just got it recently at Target for $5.50. Not what I would call a perfect movie, but it is pretty good, and decently funny. Though it is the best movie I've seen that's based off of a board game. It also has some of my favorite actors/actresses in it. Out of the three different endings, I prefer the third one. Kinda makes me want to play the board game again. Might go to Dollar General, as they have it there for something like $15, which isn't a bad price for a board game these days. What's your opinion of this 1985 movie?

    I liked it pretty well.

I have the Simpsons version of Clue. It's pretty awesome.

I love Clue and also have it on DVD. It's wacky and entertaining, especially when the madcap running around the mansion, explaining how everything happened sequence starts. The cast is great, especially Tim Curry and Christopher Lloyd (probably two of my favorite actors). I also loved Martin Mull's performance as Colonel Mustard, my character of choice nearly every time I play the game.

A great movie, and one of the better $5 movies I've ever bought. Factoid: When Clue was originally released to theatres, each theatre got only one of the three endings. It wasn't until it was released on home video that all 3 endings were included, with the "it could have happened this way..." "or it might have happened this way..." "But it really happened this way..."

That's weird yet kind of funny about the ending at the theater.

I love the movie. It's funny and crazy.

Is there actually another board game based movie? I've only heard of this one.

    Got it and love it.

    "I didn't do it!!"

But when you think about it makes sense. Someone is saying that so and so did it, yet you go see it and someone else did it.

I think this is the only one. Kinda makes sense. Kinda hard to have "Pictionary the Movie" What would the plot of that be? Det. Jones must draw pictures based on clues before time runs out...

Clue actually has a story to it to begin with, so it makes sense for it to have a movie. You can make a story based on that. Kinda hard to make a game based on Scrabble or Boggle or even Candy Land (or would that be Willy Wonka?)

They need a Seinfeld edition of Clue! It was Kramer. In Newman's apartment. In the puffy shirt.

I've seen it several times -- it's a great spoof of mystery/whodunit-type movies/shows. Definitely worth the rental if you enjoy a good comedy and/or if you're a fan of Tim Curry.

I've always loved this movie. How long before a remake? I say 2 years.

Clue is a wonderful, wonderful murder mystery farce like it's predecessor 1976's Murder by Death and the ensemble cast just shines. I'd hate to see a remake of either, because I don't believe Hollywood has the wherewithal to pull together the marriage of that kind of talent and writing these days.

There may be some more on the way...

Defiinitely in my top list of movies from the 80's! I think my favorite part was Michael McKean's (Mr. Green) final line in the 3rd ending (might've been the second). You'll have to watch it if you don't know what I'm talking about! :lol

Insane Galvatron, I've gotta admit ya stumped me with this one. At first I thought you were being serious. Then I figured you were joking.

Then I checked out the "IMDB link" and hoped you were joking. Then I googled "Janet Wong+Clue" and she was actually kinda hot! Now I'm totally confused and my head hurts.

On the off-chance that you were being serious, I direct you to the correct IMDB link for Clue:
    Clue (1985)
You'll notice pretty much all the actors have done quite a bit of work, a few of them with a few big classic parts in other movies...

Of course if you were joking, you even managed to get someone who thought he got the joke and to that I say "Well played sir!".

Oh yeah, bit of trivia for you guys. The girl who plays the singing telegram girl was Jane Wiedlin from The Go-Go's.
