Had an extra junker Sideburn that decided to donate its face and shield.
Just hollowed out the head and clipped the circle attachment to make it clip on the wheel.

Nice! I haven't had a chance to mod my Sideburn w/ the 'original' face... Does he still transform like that or do you have to pop the face off?
(granted mine'll be chilling in robot mode all the time...)

    Ebay:
He'd have to pop the face off. Doesn't have enough height clearance to stay inside.

Perhaps some additional carving and removal of the original face *might* do it... but I don't think so.

Might be best to see if someone will redo the head in Shapeways, then scale down to Rodimus' head size. The head swap at that point is then quite doable.

That said, this is a darn nice idea... better than the silly paint job that makes people unfamiliar with the character think "hey, this is a paint error!" *ROAR*

Looking at the first pic... plan on making a removable canopy mod too? It is possible to make it open/close so... making it fully removable isn't too far-fetched.

I pretty much want the original figure unaltered. So I'm not planning anything else. The original head is under there, unchanged. I just turned rid sideburns head into a mask.

Well the 'horn' and eye paint were on the same side for my Sideburrn, instead of opposites like they're supposed to be. So I feel defended in my 'wrong side' response^^

I managed to make clearance for Wildrider's horns... hmmm, now I'll have to see if I can make clearance for the new head (or hope for a 'this head will fit' to buy^^)

I certainly think this is a step in the right direction. :thumb

I'd also think that modding the canopy into a shield wouldn't been too involved. I took the complete spoiler off of mine, and I like it better :)

There's something inherently unsettling about seeing Side Burn's disembodied face just laying there... It's like he got on movie!Prime's wrong side.

That, or Timelines Sideburn is somewhere between Leatherface and Pavi Largo
