Well, he's still gonna be more expressive than the G1 animation model. They actually resorted to tilting his head to show emotions. Hell, thats still done today. You want prime to look calm? frontal view. worried? have him look up. sad? have him look down, so that the brow of his helmet completely obscures his eyes. angry? have him look down, brow of helmet partially obscuring the eyes so they look like triangles or small slits of light. *points to avatar* No. That was the eye of an autobot symbol.
I'm pretty dissapointed in this design..what the hell are those eyebrow/windshield wiper type things out in front of his eyes...why must they change shit just for the sake of change....That picture makes Primes face look like a damn bird. Right as I was warming up to Prime's design overall minus the feet they show us this garbage.
The strange eyes or 'glasses' don't bother me. Its the downward slant of his face plate and his bizare nose that I question. That strange face plate makes him look downright goofy. I would be much happier if the faceplate was turned up rather than down (the V near the nose). OTher than that, its not that bad. Still, I hope this isn't as noticeable on the Leader-class toy.
I like these turbine eye looks because it really shows how human like their builds are, and I think their eyes light up when in a battle or active Iam only assuming such.
About the Glasses: the Metal for holding it(in the curent pic) is producing a dead-angle to his front, should go over the complete eye in finals, i hope. About the Eyebrows: i think these are supposed to cover the eyes quickly to let them not take damage, when prime is hit in the face. And actually, this design is much better than the Prime from Energon, which was only looking good in Super-Mode.
as u said so, i got the same feeling about his nose (but i neded to google to find out what snot means, as it is called 'Zinken' in german language)
