Looking forward to the "challege" of transforming Safeguard correctly.  

 

Hrm... the 4 legs sticking out his back are interesting.. and ugly. I wonder if the character in the cartoon (I haven't seen an episode with them yet) will have some kind of chaotic "smashed together mutant" look to the combined mode where the legs are supposed to be sticking out it's back? That would be quite a departure from everything I have seen so far where the characters are all relatively clean.

Wishful thinking for some kind of reasoning I guess.

Maybe it's just a horrific mistransformation. That's been known to happen on occasion.

 

Im really not very keen on this toy and character yet. Maybe seeing him in the show will help.

I agree with the general consensus of it looking better. However, it still doesn't look like an Animated design. It doesn't look sharp/smooth like other characters as it has tons of kibble that just looks out of place. The designs for the jets is aweful at best. The transformation thing is cool, but at the same time it just looks like a KO version of a GaoGaiGar reject design. Maybe the same guy that drew Sideswipe that we saw a few weeks back drew these, explaining why they look so bad...

 

After I got use to the color, I think he looks a lot like an animated design.
I think it's mainly the deco that throws people off.

i think jetfire and jetstorms arms combine... so instead of sticking out they look more like wing type things.
They do have pegs on the arms, so maybe they clip together... or maybe not...

 

Can it be actually repainted to another combination of colors better ?? The orange and blue don't seem to go together very well..... Couldn't it be better with Metal-silver & Black or Red & Blue ...

 

Honestly, this looks like a generic Big Lots transforming robot... something your grandmother would accidentally buy for your birthday because she thought it was a Transformer. In fairness, though, better pics are a must.

what i wonder is if the hands open/have a hole for weapons

 

i actually like the body but the combined head just looks awful with that big crrepy four year old smile

 

looks pretty darn cool

 

still not liking it. his arms and legs are the same size which looks bizarre...and those other four limbs need to be put somewhere.

 

The four limbs are supposed to be snapped together to look like wings.
Like in this picture.

 

That about sums it up.
