Here my take at the Cliffjumper mod I found over at Tfans. It's done by stripping the paint from his little trailer thingy, cutting some pieces off to fit and adding glue. My one regret after I finished was that I think I should have left the horns from the original mold instead of adding the blockier ones

Lastly, here's the ever awesome action pose with big ol gun in your face

Oh and if anyone reads this and knows where to find the video or thread where a guy shows how to mod Alt Rumbles arms by replacing them with Skids arms let me know please!

I actually agree with you about keeping the horns. These just look too uneven to me. Still, there was more effort put into a new head by you than by Hasbro, and yours' face is better regardless of the horns.

You made that head out of his water-ski? Can you link to the instructions?

Here's the link to the instructions I used but I would cut more than he did from the jetski thing and just shave off more as needed. It's better to start with more and shave down than to start with less material than you need.

I just bought a huge Classics lot so I may try this mod again with an extra CJ and eventually sell the one I like less. It takes some time to pull if off but it's worth it to have something you know Hasbro will never do

Well despite the horns being blocky, it still Cliffjumper and I like it. Great job.

    WOW!

Out of all the head-mods for Cliffjumper I've seen so far, this one is probably my favourite! And it's just accomplished by cutting bits off his jetski? Phenomenal!!

Thanks for bringing this to our attention! It looks great!

Edit: I tried to swap the grey and black parts on my BB and CJ, but I found that one of the colours of plastic must swell more than the other. The limbs are all loose on one figure, and way tight on the other (forget which is which). Anyone else have this problem?

Agreed, mine too! This looks much better in my opinion than the upcoming aftermarket mod kit. And the fact that it's made by using parts already included with the figure just sweetens it that much more. I may have to give this one a try. This is the first mod I've seen for this figure that actually makes me think "Cliffjumper!"

(Although I agree, the horns seem a bit large and blocky. Still, it does work to differentiate him from Bumblebee.)

    Great job!

thanks for the comments guys. I'm planning on re-working the horns today and making another one from a spare Cliffy I just aquired. I'll post side by side pics of this one's new horns and a new one I'll be leaving the stock horns on

Okay so I finished fixing the first one and I did another one here are the pics

    This is with modified horns
    [IMG]

Here's the new one with the stock horns and modified weapons from the leftover pieces (I wish I would have done this with the first one instead of chucking the extra stuff, doh!)

and bonus here's what I got planned for a Alt Cliffjumper, not much will change, just some minor paint apps

Awesome! I think I like the one with the original horns more but both look great! Now I've gotta find me a cliffjumper to play with

SMOG - you might want to try adding some clear nail polish to the ball of the joint. It usually fixes problems I have with loose joints.

I did try some of that... but it was a very temporary fix. The difference between the size of the balls and sockets on the two figures was just so off... on one, the arms were ridiculously loose, on the other, I was afraid the socket would crack, it was so tight (though I suppose sanding would fix that).

I was just curious if this was a common problem for people swapping the arms on BB and CJ.
