    UPDATEpost # 44 - alt mode
    UPDATE post # 36 - bot mode

So the short story goes like this. This was a commission for a private client who requested a bot heavily influenced by g1 cliffjumper. I designed it to borrow from the vehicle the original toy was based off of with multiple points of articulation in the bot mode. The Porsche is in 1/32 scale which puts cliffjumper at about 5.25" tall (about 135mm). He comes equipped with guns based off of various episodes from the MTME and his idw's spotlight spear. This version was printed by shapeways in ultra detail and some of the internal components were printed in black/strong/flexible. Because most of him is printed in ultra detail, he's pretty fragile. He was painted with modelmaster acrylics and enamels, and tamiya paints. I still have some cleaning up to do and add some final touches. when I do so I'll give a full photoshoot with alt mode, action poses, group shots, etc. In the end, this was not what the client had in mind so cliffjumper will be sitting on my shelf with the rest of my bots. This is why i'm making these images public now. I would like to thank the client for some extremely valuable experience and best wishes.

Disclaimer: Please refrain from making any comments or questions regarding the private client. Please keep comments and questions about the piece itself.

cool, looks great. I would add some other metalic coloring to add some detail to the legs and arms.

Definately a nice peice of work.

    Well done mate.

Easily one of the most extensive labors of love the community will see in a single figure. With every part a one off and original in every way combined with an authentic alt mode. This goes in my top 3 all-time kitbashes.

What impresses me most, is your ability to take a realistic car mode and maintain the proper silhouette for a figure that had a super deformed alt mode. I love how it all collapses on itself. The bot mode is truly g1 accurate and from the looks of it, the car mode would be accurate to real life. Awesome job. Excellent paint work too.

Let me get this straight...you used a model kit for the shell, but the rest is all parts from Shapeways?

Your skills continue to impress. Great work!

Thanks for all the super nice comments guys.

thanks, actually it was all done in 3D first. I've searched all over this planet for a 1:32 scale porsche 924 and haven't located one. I had to draw it up using pictures and spec off the internet.

Thanks again everyone. Once I get a moment to touch him up a bit and spend some time photographing him. I'll have more pics up and some transformation shots.

Hold on here...so EVERYTHING was done in Shapeways? The car shell and everything?

That is DAMN impresssive, and it looks AMAZING. I'd seriously buy that thing if it was for sale. It totally looks like a legit factory made figure. Not a fan of the weathering on the bot parts, but that's just always been my personal taste.

Cant wait to see car mode!

Ninos, this is one of your best & most detailed works yet. Your 3D skills are off the hook & the fact that you designed this from the ground up & achieved something most of us dream of, is a massive win in my book. Definitely looking forward to seeing more 3D stuff from you like this.
