With the new Prime Cliffjumper figure on the way, I was thinking and realised CJ hasn't had his own mold since G1.
Why is CJ always a repaint or retool of Bumblebee?
Did G1 start this trend with red Bublebee and yellow Cliffjumper variants?
I'd love to see an original Cliffjumper mold (maybe in the Generations line?) and have a yellow repaint for a change.

    Thoughts?

The trend was started, I think, with the Palisades statues. Toy-wise, Alternators intended to have Bumblebee with Cliffjumper as his retool, but that never came to pass. So the first straight Bumblebee-into-Cliffjumper redecos were the Classics Deluxe and the 3 inch Titanium figure (although Titanium Cliffjumper was never released).

Well, we had Energon Cliffjumper which isn't a Bumblebee redeco.

But I do agree that CJ needs more new molds.

I'm looking forward to the TF Prime Deluxe and Cyberverse Legion versions. :)

A new G1-sytled Cliffjumper would be really cool. After all, his alt-mode was visibly different than Bumblebee's from the start... and never since.

Yeah, new Deluxe and Legends molds with a Porsche 924 alt modes would be great. :)
