Hope this isn't considered spam.. if so, movie it to Fuzzy.

Found this site via another message board. Clients from hell. it is a site of horror stories from Web Designers and Graphic Artists. Some are really hilarious how oblivious people are..

another one i liked the client asked if the person could make it so the computer turned the screen into a mirror so the customers would see themselves.

Dang, this is far more interesting than the stories my designing user experience professor -- and adviser of my college's web design program -- told the class in regards to dealing with clients!

Stories like these are exactly why I got out of this business after a single "gig." If you'd call it that.....

That's funny, we were just looking at this site earlier this week. My friend contributed I think. I have some horror stories as well.

I just spent too much time on this site. Hilarious, yet unbelievably frustrating if you put yourself in the place of the designer. I don't know how you could hold your sanity, particularly with all of the clients who presume that your skills are worth so little.

That said, I refuse to accept that the posts regarding the use of Photoshop are true. Could someone actually believe that you can remove something from a photograph and reveal what is underneath or behind? For my own well-being, I just cannot believe that an individual could presume that and simultaneously be able to tie their own shoes or even feed themselves.

OH trust me, mineraljane, there are some people that stupid.
I graduated high school with a girl who bought a half dozen bottles of Magic Shell to go on ice cream for her graduation party, and she put the bottles in her Fridge overnight.

Just watch The People's Court. 80 year old lady sues a mechanic for 5 grand over a faulty heater in her '83 Honda and the car isn't worth $500.

    but clients are THE worst.

CSI and other similar shows do this to people. you can sharpen anything, turn a 2D image into a 3D one, whatever. there's actually a compilation video on that site of different TV show clips that are responsible for people's stupid ideas of what graphic designers can do.

agreed. Watch the court shows. People are idiots.

Also Magic Shell.. is that the syrup you pour on ice cream, then stick it some where cool and it hardens quickly making a candy like shell?

Yep, and it clearly says on the bottle "DO NOT PUT INTO FRIDGE" or something similar.

Putting all those bottles into the FREEZER...that just makes the stuff harden extra quick, and it DOESN'T melt back into a syrup.
