In general, which of the two do you prefer on your toy? Obvsiously Deluxe and Cyberverse stuff can't have posable hands like the Masterpiece toys, so if you had to choose, which one would it be?
I myself like the fist more, it's better when posing.

I'd have to go for a clenched fist, but only when it isn't a square block with fingers sculpted into it!

Open hand but with the capability to hold 5mm post weapons. Seriously, how many characters have we had whose major form of attack is to punch someone?

Opened hand that can't still hold weapons.

It depends for me. Some characters can pull off open hands, some can't. However, if it is a fist, as previously stated, I'd prefer it not be simple like a cube with a hole drilled in it.

Closed fists or articulated hands for me.

Open hands are more prone to stress.

I'd prefer closed fists generally. Key point for why - Dreadwing. The hands sticking out the back and the inability to hold his gun as in the show could have both been averted with his hands being molded as closed fists.

This question reminds me of the video game Jade Empire, where there are two philosophical fighting styles, the open palm or the closed fist. Just as in the game I prefer the open hand (that can still hold weapons), seems more natural.

Both clenched fist and opened hand. I really don't care what type of hand they come with.

I like the look of open hand as long as they can still hold a gun

Open fist (looks more natural during poses) provided the fingers aren't too splayed out like the figure's waving at you. Having the fingers like that makes the figure look weird when holding a gun or other weapon, like the Generations Tracks/Wheeljack mold (one of the minor quibbles with an otherwise lovely mold) or RTS Wreckgar. United Jazz and Generations Kup have the right amount of openness to the fingers; not too much, not too little. The squared-off block hand with a hole in the middle just seems a bit dated and retro to me, much like the early Universe and Henkei molds.

in a perfect world you would get a set open and closed fists with each transformer deluxe class and larger.

If i had to choose it would closed more stable in most cases for holding weapons.

Open fish and. Clenched fist just makes them look like they're about to give someone a hand job.

Interchangeable hands like with the 1/144 and 1/100 scale Gundam model kits. Then the hands can be to my heart's desire.

An even mix of both applied to the appropriate characters.
