You know, after seeing this I'm starting to think that this and the metallic versions of Jizai Toys' Cyclonus and Wheelie are actually recasts by a third party.

Don't forget the battle damaged version and I also think these are recasts. The articulating joints were not included in the original unassembled kit.
When getting these toys from pompomnet, the joints are actually casted instead of being from Hobby Link Japan.

Does that mean it's a bit sturdier than the original kits?

I don't know but mine broke a couple of times and I have replaced the plastic pins by metal ones. I did'nt pay 185$ for mine and I'm happy I did'nt. He looks much better than the Universe version Hasbro is bringing us but the Jizaitoys version is far from being a toy. You practically transform him at your own risk, even if you are the most carefull, it can break. If I can get the Hasbro version, I'll see if I can merge somehow, the 2 versions to get a decent toy.
