Looks like there's another clear G1 dude out there
G1 Clear Astrotrain
If anyone is thinking of buying him but is not sure what he will be like you might want to check out our gallery of the clear Astrotrain which shows the white version and a little show of the blue one as well
What would be the point? He looks really...odd.
ohh, like the clear blue one.
I would bid on these as I am a translucent collector, but the plastic looks yellowed like it's been in a smokers house or something. I'll pass on all...
damnations...i need that...just cant afford it...
Seaglow would remove the yellow
Still a nice item despite the yellow
Lunchtime special for today is Astrotrain a la pee
How are the clear collection holding up at the moon?
I m sure they are all well kept, but curious to see if any have started to yellow like the recent ones listed for sale by the same seller.
What is the point of these clear figures?
why do so many people assume that these were white and has yellowed? the yellowed is intentional. i think they look great. it looks like those semi glowing gold marble stones.
an opportunity for a collector to own a very rare variant of a classic G1 figure?
but i do agree that they cost way too much.
~looks like he'll be yellow in a few years
The last time I saw them, which was earlier this year, they were all still in the same condition (colour wise) as when we first bought them. Due to lack of space they are bubbled wrapped up in storage boxes under a bed.
I'm guessing this is from the reissue mold? Because the clear Megatron who survaced a few days had 'Made in China' on it's mold (meaning reissue). So I'm guessing the astrotrain has the same markings if there are from the same seller. The 'smoke' plastic looks the same. Please correct me if i am wrong. I really love these clear smoke tf's. Too bad they are expensive, would have loved to own one.
Eh. I don't understand the Clear thing. Its cool but I couldn't see spending the money on them.
why buy toys? why waste time on the internet? whats the point of it all?
I believe he was asking why the company produced them.
