Right, so this is my slow personalization project of my ROTF leader Prime. The goal is to give him a complete detail paint job, make him a trailer, and make Jetfire form a better flight pack than the standard configuration.

Some things are already done! Sort of...

I've made him a rifle using the first leader Prime's gun and a pen cap. It's unpainted so far, but the missile still fires!

He's also got poseable hands courtesy of Fakebuster83.

I painted the swords a long while back, too.

I also nicked the rubber tires from a Masterpiece Prime.

Here's the trailer so far with Buster Prime. It's a scaled 53 foot trailer according to the truck width, which should be 8 foot.

Lastly, here's Jetfire. I've seen lots and lots of beautiful work done by completely scrapping the figure, but I haven't (that I recall) seen anyone make Jetfire simply come apart and go back together as needed. It's worth a shot, at least!

    Looking good!

Here's one: J.T. Silversmith's Jet Optimus. I did those mods and really like how it turned out. Eventually I plan on working on it some more...

That's pretty neat! But I was thinking of something much more modular - like Wing Saber and Energon Prime.

I've got most of it worked out in my head, but I can't quite get the feet right on account of the ball joints in the ankles. I'll post some pictures tomorrow.

That's Buster Prime, not the one I'm working on. But yes, it is gorgeous.

This is some pretty awesome work so far. I have to ask What are you making the trailer out of. I am curently trying to make a custom trailer for my own prime. Thanks in advance.

Here was the first bit of work: I made Jetfire's backside able to unclip from the rest of the torso.

That got rid of the battery pack that just sort hung off the backside.

To take the nose of the plane off the arms, all I had to do was take out the screws. They just clip on and off, so no other work was needed.

Bonus! Jetfire's hands can hold the engines up.

This of course leaves the battery back as totally surplus while combined with Prime, but that's ok. The other mods to do are to make mounts for the various plane parts that pop off anyway and attach them to the legs and torso. And as I said, Jetfire goes back together on his own account, even if he's not electronic anymore.

It's just sheet styrene plastic. I scaled it to the truck, so it's two pieces cut to 21.5" x 3.25" for the top and bottom and two pieces cut to 21.5" x 3.5" for the sides.

The hands giving support to the boosters is a great bonus!
I'm really tempted to do that mod of taking off the back, but I don't want to ruin the electronics...

What're you constructing the trailer out of? I might try this on my own.
