Who do you plan to use? I was going to use the Movie Whirl, but I get the feeling that Skyhammer could be fairly effective as well for some reason. What are you thinking?

ROTF Whirl. He works fine. Tomahawk isn't the right color. And if he was, I'd rather use him as Rotorstorm.

 

I dislike Whirl's head type so much. It doesn't bother me for Shockwave or Lugnut, but for whatever reason it doesn't do anything for me on an autobot copter.

Your best bet is getting a new head for one of the new chopper molds. Headrobots is making stuff for the ROTF Blackout repaint right?

 

Well, we know takara is repainting/remolding tomahawk as whirl with mechtech, so that would work

 

The repaint/retool of Tomahawk is Vortex, not Whirl.

 

Agreed. The featureless face bar one, red, menacing eye just doesn't work for an Autobot to me. I'll be using Skyhammer as a Whirl supplement, if I do.

I would rather have a RTS or United Whirl than use a stand in from one of the movies. The G1 head was unique but needs an update. A different head and a similar transformation, to Energon Bulkhead or Cybrertron Evac would be cool.

And if they do an updated Whirl, they must also do an updated Roadbuster.

It isn't too much to ask for.

I heart ol' one-eye G1 Whirl.

That being said, I don't dig the TRU "Whirl". I think Skyhammer might work. We'll see  

 

Transformers Hunt for the Decepticons Tomahawk is the closest to G1 Whirl to me but he needs a new head, come on 3rd partys don't let me down.
