looks alright to me. Good looking robot mode from what I can see, which is no.1 to me, I'll sacrifice alt mode for awesome robot mode (I'm a huge fan of C. Metroplex). I like the RM version and this looks to improve on that mold in a number of ways, so this will be an easy addition to my Prime collection. As for everyone bitching that it doesn't hold a candle to THS-02, well what the hell do you expect. Both toys are in totally different classes. It's like you guys would expect the $5 watch bought by a corner vendor to be as reliable and look as good as a rolex.

Hasbro said they didn't like Robotmasters, huh? Well, the Robotmasters Prime looks a hell of a lot better than this crap.
With the right home-made paint apps, this will do very nicely indeed. It's like they took the parts of RM Prime that worked and ditched what didn't. Yes, the alt mode is still WAAAAAAAAY off, but it's a huge improvement over RM and THS alt modes. I will happily take one of these. The Chicago old-time gangster take on his gun is too cool for words BTW.
Not bad, truck looks better than the THS version, I really like the robot mode. I'm hoping the truck mode isn't quite transformed right, but it's at least passable as it is.
I think the reason G1 Prime keeps on getting G1 Toon accruate Robot modes and "not quite a truck" alt modes is that Hasbro and Takara/Tomy just won't admit defeat. They just seem determined to try to combine the G1 Toon robot mode with a truck mode that doesn't look like ass. but the fact is they just keep proving that thats not really possible. the only way they could do it is to thicken the torso enough that he looks really boxy in robot mode, and then all you really have is the G1 toy with more articulation. Frankly The regular Classics Prime proves they can do a excelent G1 Prime if they just stop trying to replicate the origionals animation model more than the origional toy itself did. One thing I will say is that between this and Megatron I reckon this two pack was done with a fairly low budget compared to actaul deluxes that would be sold as such, either that or its been engineered by a different team to the rest of the Classics line (is the two pack actaully offically a classics item anyway?) IMO though it is better than Robot Masters: both emphasis the robot mode to the expense of the alt mode, but the extra details seem to make the robot mode seem more whole somehow.
Basically it looks like they took RM prime and THS 2 Prime and smashed them together. Not a bad robot mode (eventhough the head sculpt is fucked up, and I am not talking about the green goop. The head is disproportianate to the body, and almost looks like it may not have a face plate). The alt mode looks like a plastic version of the THS 2, and sucks balls, quite frankly. Still, for ten bucks, it's not a bad little dude.
I don't know what to think about this, except that it's nowhere near as good as the Classics Voyager-sized one, and that's not a fair comparison. At first, I thought that RM looked better, but now I think it's just the lack of painted details on this figure that made me think that. Truck mode is a mess. Neither better nor worse than RM's and THS-02's. Classics Voyager Prime's truck mode is the way to go. The head looks all wrong ... odd shape, huge eyes. So far, until better pics surface, I'm getting the 2pack because I want the Megatron. -airfox
But... Prime is... based on a... *head asplodes* Yeah. I'm pretty sure every test shot could come with a Polaroid of Archer, Siebenaler, and Lombardo whizzing on it, and it wouldn't hurt the value.
Great. Yet another G1 Prime redux that looks like it slammed straight into the lane dividers at high speed. I'll stick with the full sized Classics Prime. That's one's alt mode is more believable than this.... thing. I will give it credit for one thing. I don't wince when I look at the alt mode, like I do with HBS-02. It still doesn't look like a truck.
